The batteries need to be fully charged just before use.
The product does what it is designed to do. The battery on the transmitter went dead around 20 minutes into the gig. Likely because I didn't fully charge before use--though I did fully charge them when I bought them. I didn't experience any static or diminished volume. I can't speak to the quality or functionality of the channel feature, because I didn't use it. They are a bit bulky, and I didn't realize I needed to get 1/4 TRS to XLR Female Adapter Female XLR to 1/4 Stereo Balanced Audio Connector. My sound system didn't come equipped with a built-in adapter. But they worked pretty well until the battery died. I have a gig coming up next week. I will update the star rating accordingly.
