Solid gun safe - nice weight and functionality
The media could not be loaded. Nice and heavy - smooth open/ close operation. The safe fingerprint function is only handy if you keep up with the batteries! The rechargeable batteries I first installed died and I was forced to use the key to open/ change batteries - so keep those keys handy! If you set a calendar alarm to refresh batteries on a regular schedule, this should be a solid safe for you. Helpful tip: code your fingerprint from the angle you will likely be reaching from in an emergency, it's def not Apple dynamic. I keep in my nightstand and found that I had to reset my fingerprints as it did not recognize from a downward side angle since I originally setup while facing safe head on. Also, safe door swings fast - be prepared. I recommend.

Great safe for the price!
Perfect size for my night stand. Was super easy to set up both the pin number and finger print. It's nice you can program multiple fingerprints to access the safe. I was able to easily secure a glock 40 and 43 together in the safe. Very happy with this purchase so far.

Multiple lock failures
The safe seems very study and well built, so I wanted to like it. Opening with a key worked fine, and programming fingerprints and a new code was easy. The problem (and the reason I returned the safe) is that it was not reliable in unlocking with either a fingerprint or with the code. I could hear the lock activate when entering the correct code, but the door would not open unless I hit the side of the safe immediately after the lock sound stopped. The same thing happened with the fingerprint reader. The only consistent way to open this safe is with the key.The fingerprint reader had a second issue of only reading my finger from a very specific angle which was difficult to replicate consistently. I even tried adding my finger as a separate fingerprint at a different angle; no luck there either. Maybe I received a bad unit, but I know there are other reviewers that had the same unlocking issue.

Secure and Easy Access
This is an amazing strong gun box. Open three ways. Key, multiple finger scans or code. I programmed several of my right and left handprints for a quick opening. All work, but others don't. I bolted it down using the holes in the bottom. If feels really secure and I feel confident that my wife and I can open it easily in case of an emergency.

Fingerprint reader is junk
The media could not be loaded. Not reliable which is simply unacceptable in a device designed to secure and provide fast access to a firearm. Many reviews state that the fingerprint scanner simply doesnt work. Since the fingerprint scanner is an upgrade you pay for this is unacceptable regardless of price.Minus 3 stars: 12-18 stored scans of same finger for safe to open 4 out of every 5 attempts.Minus 1 star: Poor customer service. Thinking I might have received a dud I contacted their customer support. Their response sort of amazed me. I was asked to send them a video which included the following. Inserting brand new batteries into the unit then scanning my fingerprints into the unit's memory.Like most people looking for a good value in a small fast access pistol safe I purchased the RP19001F for it's impressive feature set at this price point.Unfortunately, the fingerprint reader is of such low quality you must scan/store the exact same finger over and over again for it to work. It took 12 scans of my right index finger to get the device to open 7 out of 10 attempts and 18 scans for 4 out of 5. The system can only store 20 fingerprints in total so a backup fingerprint for one user is off the table. We used the full 20 for my wife and it still would not open. I guess it just hates her fingers.I sent an email to their customer support team for help and was asked to provide the previously mentioned video. Translation, prove to us it's broken and your smart enough to follow written directions?Your fingerprints change constantly. A small cut, dry/cracked hands, moisturizer, oil, dirt, grime, a bit of glue or paint from the most recent repair job on your kid's favorite toy. All of these would defeat this low quality scanner.
