Being a collector, I couldn't miss out on this special edition from Egmont and I am pretty much satisfied with my decision! As its difficult to gather much information about the books I'll provide a precise outline based on which one can decide whether or not to go for it.First and foremost, the volume is a simple bind up version of the 2 books and offers no extra like the Making of Tintin volumes but the back cover has a special design with an autographed message from Hergé, obviously from records (refer the pictures attached).Secondly, the cover wears a different look of the gorgeous rocket red. Mostly matt finish with the Tintin, Captain and the Rocket in a glossy set up is quite an innovative way to make it even more attractive!Third point being applicable mainly for a collector's perspective, this book is a special edition and will soon be out of stock, so grabbing one wouldn't be a bad call.Last but definitely not the least, those who don't have the volumes of normal editions or if someone is collecting the hardcover versions, this is perfect being cheaper, compact and normal sized.Now coming to the part of whether to buy from Amazon. Yes, I did receive the products in good condition (not excellent as there are a few minor damages, negligible although), but chances to get damaged through transit is quite high. The seller packed it well with bubble wrap and provided me with a new good copy but not all sellers take the same efforts. I've had major bad experiences as well. So a word of advice for all; as soon as you place an order call Amazon and ask them to inform the seller to pack it well to avoid unnecessary damages and waste of time, effort and resources.I hope this review will be helpful, but if you still have some questions I'll suggest joining the Facebook groups for better insight.Thank you!Regards- A Tintin fan :)

If you have the two regular issues then this offers nothing new over that in terms of content. However, it is a nice collectible as a bind up of both issues and will be a fantastic addition to “other” Tintin collectibles which am sure many serious fans of the young detective will have.

Nice to have two adventures both in one volume. It is nice to have for collectors. When you get this book, you don’t have the nice cover pictures of the single books. And also, when you compare this volume with the making of the Tintin, this does not have bonus pages, the ones that making of Tintin did. However, I appreciate for making it as it is an unusual edition!
