I recently swapped out my old Guardian water leak detection system with the YoLink Smart Water Valve Controller, and I couldn’t be happier with the decision. The installation process was a breeze—it took me about 30 minutes to get the valve controller set up, and setting up the 16 leak detectors around the house took a bit more time, but overall, it was a straightforward DIY project. The system was incredibly easy to install, and I didn’t need any professional plumbing help, which was a huge plus.What really stood out to me was how much better this YoLink system is compared to my previous Guardian system. The Guardian system was constantly failing, poorly designed, and a major headache. Not to mention, it cost a fortune—each controller was $50, and it was always causing issues. In contrast, the YoLink system is night and day! The setup process is simple, user-friendly, and intuitive, and I didn’t need to rely on complicated instruction videos. Since I’m familiar with this type of system from previous experience, I was able to easily configure everything, including the automation tab in the app to trigger the valve to close when a leak is detected.The wireless range is fantastic and very reliable, even across multiple walls in my home, which ensures that I get real-time alerts no matter where I am. The hub is on one side of the house and the valve/controller is on the other and they communicate over the mesh WiFi 6 network without issues. The system updates and configures quickly, which is a huge bonus when I need to adjust anything.The only tricky part of the setup for me was figuring out how to trigger the valve to close when a leak is detected, but once I played around with the automation settings in the app, it was smooth sailing from there. It does need a separate event for each leak detector added to the Automation to trigger the event but there seems to be great developers working for YoLink and they added a Replicate option making this a breeze!!! Great job!!!Overall, I’m beyond satisfied with this YoLink Smart Water Valve Controller system. It’s everything the Guardian system should have been—easy to set up, reliable, and cost-effective. If you’re in the market for a smart water leak detection system, I highly recommend this one! It’s definitely A++++ in my book!

After many hours of research, decided to go with the YoLink product line. Purchased the hub, water sensors, couple of the outlet controls, motion sensor, and a door sensor (which by the way works fantastic for the garage door eliminating the question 5 minutes after leaving home, did we close the garage door?) Anyway, the water valve while a little pricey was a great addition. Took 10 minutes to install on my water main, no plumber needed. Have linked the value to the sensors, tested by pouring some water under a sensor and as designed the main shut itself off. Also like that I can manually turn the water valve on or off from my phone and on the device itself, there's a release button and handle to override the system if needed. The Yolink app is easy to use, controls everything on the system with a lot of different options. Sends alerts to your email or via text message. The best part, the app is FREE, no subscription costs. Adding equipment is a breeze, just scan the QR code on the device and it connects wireless to the hub.

Easy to install valve paired with 7 sensors which will shut the main water off when a leak is detected. Sensors have an audible alert as well as alert my mobile when any of the sensors detect a leak. Did not have to repipe anything. The valve comes off and the actuator fits over the valve stem. Need 110v outlet near the valve to power the actuator. There is a battery back up provide with the controller. Good, affordable system. Recommend.

Just installed this automatic valve after being pressurized by a prospective insurance company. As with other Yolink products, this valve works beautifully with no problems. Highly recommend. There is an option to program direct link with water sensor to turn off water without requiring internet connection. Remember that some older solder slip valves may require reuse of handle nut on stem to maintain pressure on valve stem to prevent leaks. This product is worth its weight in gold in regards to protecting your home from water damage. Standard shipping from Yolink in CA was also very fast via FedEx. Great job Yolink.

After having relatives have to spend upwards of $25k on repairs after a toilet supply hose burst, and then turn right around and do it all again a year later with a sink supply hose, I had really been thinking something like this would be nice to have for the piece of mind, if nothing else. Bought the valve kit, hub, and a total of 7 sensors. I must say that YoLink has a first rate product. All of the equipment is well made...not cheaply put together. The instructions are clear and easy to understand...please take no offense, but sometimes you get a product where the instructions were written in language A, translated to B, then to C,D,E, and finally to what you need, so by the time you're reading them, they make zero sense...not the case here...plain and simple. I got everything set up in about 4 hours...most of the time was spent running an extension cable into the closet where the main water valve lives, because there is no power outlet in there (although it will run on batteries, I wanted it to have a power connection). Super easy to install...just took the handle off the valve and bolted the YoLink valve controller on. App setup was a breeze. Named and placed all my sensors, then went about to test each one. As soon as the sensor got wet, the valve automatically closed as it is supposed to. Quick visit to the app to reopen. I'm fully confident it will work as intended should there ever be the need. Great product!! Highly recommend!
