Playstation 4 Camera Adapter for PSVR on PS5

Gave you trying to get a free one from Sony. The website wouldn’t accept the serial number to request one. Couldn’t find any contact number or support. Figured the lost cost was worth the headache. Able to use this through a usb hub just fine as the ps5 has 2 usb ports for these older devices.

I have the second version of the original PSVR (rebought recently after I sold my original model towards purchase of a Vive headset years ago) and tried ordering the free one from Sony and well, even years after issues with a Vita game purchase, their customer service is still the worst.So searched on Amazon and found tons of different 3rd party ones and tried to parse which one might be the best.Mine just came in today. Hooked it up to 1 of the back ports of my PS5 (has the disc drive), plugged in the camera, calibrated in options to make sure it was optimal viewing, then finished hooking up the box etc and hopped right into Farpoint with the VR Aim controller and played for like, 3 hours straight.Had zero visual issues with anything as far as hiccups of it not working right. Just the typical Move related issues since PS3 where the white ball system starts to drift over time at random.If you're looking for an adapter for your PS4 camera to use with your PS5 to play PSVR, I can confirm it works with the Version 2 of the PSVR on a disc drive version of the PS5. Would recommend.

I don't understand why so many people are saying this adapter doesn't work...I received mine today with same day delivery. I decided to order this after waiting for over a month for Sony to fail to send me an email that my free adapter was on its way. So once this adapter arrived I plugged it in and I was back to playing Grand Turismo Spec on PSVR with my racing rig. The graphics may not be as good but the immersion feels like your actually in the car and at times can even sense the g force. AWESOME PRODUCT!!! Would definitely purchase again if need be.

Used my PS4 PSVR headset with my PS5 using the camera adapter for the camera, tested both Rush VR and Sairento VR with it, worked perfectly.

You have to plug in the adapter after you turn on the PS5 and use a usb port in the back. It does the job!

So I got tired of getting the: "yes, let me check", "I see the problem, let me fix it" and getting hang up with a lot of false hope. That I decided to finally buy the adapter, BEST decision ever. It arrived fast and with no problem or fuss, love it...I did run in to some problems while installing it, but it turn out to be not related to this adapter, since it happens with the one that comes directly from PlayStation too... MAKE SURE THAT YOUR EXTERNAL HD IS MADE TO BE COMPATIBLE WITH THE CONSOLE ASSESORIES, mine is not a game base HD, is just a normal 2T USB External HD... So if it appears that the camera cant be recognize and you have both, the HD and the adapter connected. Safely remove the HD and reconnect the adapter (don't use both at the same time). That work for me and apparently to all that had the same problem... Again, definitely worth it..
