I LOVE these bowls!! They are perfect for pasta or soup! The asymmetrical lip is very unique and stylish too. High quality porcelain is a good thickness, bowl is deep and can hold a lot.

Beautiful high quality bowls. Pretty large! I love how great they are for a brothy soup or rice bowls! I would say they are larger than the average bowl which is not what I originally had expected but that had more to do with me not mentally registering the dimensions listed which were accurate so it's not a flaw by any means. All in all- they are pristine, sturdy and super aesthetic so it was an easy decision to hold on to them.

The outer finish is not particularly well done. There were drips/sags in the finish that were permanently fixed when the bowls were fired at the end of their manufacturing. As though the glaze was slapped on with no care whatsoever and in the kiln they went! For $8 per bowl, I expected a nicer product. Also, they were shipped in a box that displays exactly what's in the box. So much for being a Christmas surprise since the person they're for brought them in the house! Newsflash: We're two weeks away from Christmas--maybe clearly showing what's in the box isn't such a good idea!

When my now former dinnerware's salad bowls started to get lost and broken to the point where I only had 2 left, I got concerned about finding replacements that would last. I loved the smaller pasta bowls from Sweese to use as everyday plates so I decided to check out their selection of bowls too. Originally I wasn't sure which size would work, so I decided to buy the 3 tiered stand with 18oz bowl, 28oz bowl, and 42 oz bowl to kind of live with them and see if they would work for me and so I'd have something to serve sides at cookouts & brunch parties. Win/win! Turned out the 42 oz bowls were PERFECT so I bought this 4 pack. They're fantastic and not just for my big salads but also my soups. Hot soups wouldn't heat the upper edge of the "swoop" and made moving from the counter to the table easy and safe. No more steamed or near-boiled fingertips! These also work so well for bags of popcorn. I've found a full bag of popcorn fits, or nearly so if the kernels pop large. Some pieces might fall over the edge if you're blindly grabbing a handful so I might go with the larger 64oz bowls if that'll be your use case. Highly recommend!
