I am absolutely in love with this Air Purifier.. It was packed very nicely, I had no issues getting it out of the box, the installation was a breeze nothing much to it other than unwrapping the plastic bag over the filter.. This thing works amazingly in my room, I just currently moved back in with my parents for a little bit, and I am a chronic smoker where sometimes I chain smoke when bored, or stressed or upset. I have had this since July 28th, 2015 and it works like a champ, I love the auto setting it has to automatically change the speeds as the air quality changes. Since I have gotten the AeraMax 90 Allergy Air Purifier my parents haven't been able to smell the smoke in my room, nor outside of my door.. so this was deffinately a good buy, I would totally recommend it to friends and I'm thinking about buying more in the future..

this Item would not go out of low quality or poor air after four days orange and red lights. Amazon did not emailed that they've received anything. They have the item but no acknowledgement that they have it. I's a pain to call these people.

It's been running for about 4 months in my Rec room. Recently the light came on to change the carbon, that's done, and it's still doing a wonderful job. The air is just much cleaner and it really helps my allergies. Think now I will buy the larger unit for the living room area.

I don't have the luxury of reviewing this from a long term perspective. I've only had it for a week, and I can already say my allergies have gotten better. It seems to really be sensing the environment and making adjustments accordingly, because when I get up and move around the air quality light always turns red and it cranks up the fan. It also seems to do that when I turn on the shower in a nearby room. The noise is soothing and helps me sleep. I went ahead and ordered their mid-sized unit also to put in my livingroom.

This is my second air filter of this type. The first lasted many years. This second one died after 2 months. Simply won’t turn on anymore. It is also difficult to find reasonably priced filters that fit well in the machine.

Pros: Runs fairly quiet for a budget air purifier. Refill filters are cheaper and last longer than the GermGuardian brand when I researched. Has color coded sensor to let you know how bad air is (blue, amber, red). *Detected my bad smelling farts at first . It changed to amber color (red when pretty bad fart) and it cleaned up air and went back to blue color to show it was cleaned up.Cons: Falsely advertised as covering 100-200 sq/ft. on their Amazon listing and business webpage. If you read further down in their webpage description says it purifies air in a 90 sq/ft room. Uncertain of how consistently effective it is. Sometimes it appears to work, sometimes it doesn't. Seems to be finicky when it wants to work. Sometimes when I just simply touch the unit, the sensor turns amber color. Tested with some bad smelling farts near the unit and it didn't change to amber color (like it initially did).Bought one for the bedroom and one for my office.When I first started air purifier it ran in auto mode for the 4 minutes to sense the condition of the air in room. There are 3 sensor colors to gauge how bad the air is in your room (blue, amber, red) and it you can leave it on auto to let it adjust itself or you can manually control it. At first, the sensor color started off blue shortly after the auto mode so I assumed the air quality wasn't bad in the room. Although I noticed several times that whenever I slightly touched the unit to shut it off or shift position, the sensor color would all of a sudden change to the amber color. Thought it was coincidence but happened almost every time I touched it. Maybe it was some slight static that would throw it off? Not sure.Also, put it in a small room in my basement that has a strong mildew and musty odor. It ran on auto for a few hours but didn't seem to change from the blue color. I then touched it to reposition it and all of a sudden it turned red and the HEPA fan speed maxed up. It was like it was in limbo on auto for a few hours until I touched it. It stayed red color for a several minutes as it appeared to be purifying the air. Weird that it was not red from the get-go but only until I touched it. Might to ask Fellowes sorry about that one.But overall seems to operate fine and the air does smell a bit better (even though my sinuses are blocking my sense of smell).I don't know if this was coincidence or my allergy attacks were subsiding when I had this unit running, but my allergy attacks did appear to be basically over.

Needed something with a small footprint in our bedroom. This fit the bill! Luckily we have it between our dressers so the night lights aren't too intrusive... We have 2 dogs that sleep in our room, and my allergies have been acting up this winter, more so than normal. Prior to receiving this I would wake up really stuffy and would take an allergy pill in the morning. The first night we got this we simply plugged it in and left it on auto, I woke up th next am completely clear!There were a few times the fan kicked into high based on the auto setting and I woke up, if you are a light sleeper you may not want to use the auto feature at night while I haven't tried it yet, you can take the unit out of ion mode.... I've read you can press and hold the ion button for 5 seconds and it will turn off. Now I wonder if there is a way to turn off the led display at night. No user manual, you have to download online.. Great purchase and I would buy again!

I have ferrets and a cat prone to allergies I'm generally fine but as their getting older these allergens are effecting them much worse we had a lot of swollen red feet alot of sneezing and itching I couldn't take it any more they hate these lovely sprays that I have that reduce the impact they receive from allergies they hated me so I had to find another way, which led me to this wonderful machine within days of receiving and getting it started there was much improvement no sneezing no coughing no itching and no red feet it was a miracle and the best part is it was super user friendly and I haven't replaced the filters yet and it's been plugged in full time for months so I'm going to continue waiting for the indicator light to come on well worth the money
