Short but fascinating
This short but fascinating read really grabbed my interest when it discussed the 'realms' of the spirit world. I always thought that once we left our physical bodies, we would shed the old, flawed personalities that consumed us in life, but now I believe that is not true. People don't even change in the afterlife. We have to change here. Perhaps that is why people see ghosts. I also liked his views on things strict religion discriminates against. Simply because we don't understand something does not mean it is wrong. So much we don't understand. A book to keep, highlight sentences and go back to time after time. I know I will.

Heaven Can Wait
The author was just finishing boot camp when he died of pneumonia in Texas. He doesn't really know what is happening, but, just like in dreams, he doesn't question little things like flying from Texas to Virginia. Later in life, he actually drove by the café in Mississippi he remembered from his NDE. I'll never look at a Pabst Blue Ribbon beer sign the same after this book.George goes through the panoramic life review, and describes being taken through 5 realms, the 5th being celestial heaven. As with everyone else who had an NDE, he came back with great spiritual insights. One of his best is, if you want to find out who your God is in this life, look back at your check stubs for the past 3 years and find out what or who you spent the most money on.Everone who has an NDE brings back something a little bit different from everyone else, so every one of these books, no matter when it was written, is definitely worth reading.

He would be a lot better if he just wrote one book and told us ...
I ordered three books from this author: (1) Ordered to Return, (2) My life after dying, (3) Return from tomorrow. The author wrote the first book, and then added a bit to the second book and repeated what was in the first book, and then wrote the third book, added a little more info and copied what the other two books said. He would be a lot better if he just wrote one book and told us everything instead of writing three books.

A Truly Great Informative Read for Understanding!
George G. Ritchie has been my favorite author on his very true trip beyond the veil of life and death! I’m very excited that he’s written two more books and I already know they will be the best on explaining life and death whereby we can more fully understand the experience! When I had my experience of death, I was told that I could stay but I begged to be able to come back to earth for the work I promised to do...I was not finished! Promises.

A needed glimpse of reality
I had read Dr. Ritchie's first book, "Return from Tomorrow", many years ago and recently found it again. Then I discovered this second book through Amazon. I recall my Dad, also a physician, telling the big news in 1943 of Dr. Ritchie, then Pvt. Ritchie coming back to life from an adrenaline injection into the heart. He writes from the perspective of a Psychiatrist. This book gives more detail about the total realm of our soul's condition that is discoverable after death. His insight is different from Dr. Eby or Marvin Ford, or Rev. Don Piper's experience in the state beyond this life. It augments our understanding of man's current condition and opens horizons of hope for the restoring redemption of mankind.

Another Beautiful Book by Dr. Ritchie
I’m not going to spend too much time on this review. I’ll just say I am amazed by Dr. Ritchie, I’m thankful that he wrote this book and I will definitely read this book again and again. I loved it!

Very disturbed with this book
This book was a complete waste of money for me. Not only that, but I didn't even feel right about reselling it, so I threw it away. The author picked apart the Old Testament, saying the gospels are the only part of the bible to believe. He also talked about "Hell" as being a "realm" where the spirits of people who died were full of hate. He did not mention the fact that there is a real hell with fire, anguish and complete separation from God awaiting those who do not accept Jesus as their savior. He also said many other things that were way off. I have heard so many stories of after death experiences that all agreed, making them believable. However, his description wasn't even similar to the others. I was very disappointed.
