Does this work with a Shure FP24?

from the people I talked to: I found a little more information about the FP24 mixer. As I had mentioned, the PS41US power supply seemed to work fine. The PS42US didn't seem to make a good connection, so the power went out when I wiggled the connector. I wonder if the center pin could be splayed out to make a better contact, although I'd hate to risk breaking it.The PS41 plug dimensions are 5.5mm outer diameter, 2.5mm inside diameter. Our FAQ suggests a suitable replacement: http://shure.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3928/kw/3928 I'm not sure why the PS42US seems to be slightly different.I also looked at Sound Devices' website, since they still sell the FP24 as the MixPre. These are great! There's a way to make them live longer!

In regards to the cable copper becoming exposed over time -Loop the cable up and zip tie the cable onto the cable brick.E-Tape will also work.Make sure there's a little slack on the loop and don't zip tie too tight.The power supply will last much longer and you will not have to worry about fraying and exposing copper.I'm having to replace 7 of these power supplies due to my new AV team not doing this in the past.
