It's thick, comfy and I slept really well, the cats also approve! I use my soaked watch to track sleep and my deep sleep has gone up over the past few nights since using this. Usually my hand will go numb so I toss and turn a bit. For the price this is a great value.

When I first purchased this feather bed it appeared to be comfortable and somewhat thick. But after a few months, the areas that get the most use have become completely flat and is now the same thickness as a sheet. This is after fluffing it up too. The baffle box construction is supposed to keep the feathers contained in place, but the problem is, this leaves you with virtually flat areas in some places and the areas that receive less contact are 3 inches thick. At this point, the feather bed is extremely lumpy and uneven throughout the entire bed. I purchased a cover, so I haven't had any issues with feathers poking through, but overall the quality of this feather bed is very poor. Also, purchase a King size if you have a queen bed— this will prevent the feather bed from bunching up in the middle. It slightly hangs over the side, but there is still room for the fitted sheet. Unfortunately, I'll have to buy a better quality feather bed and toss this one. $150 down the drain. I hope this will help you make a better choice in choosing a feather bed.

We bought this last year and while I never bothered to return it (too busy with a new baby to bother) it is a big disappointment. The thing would really have to be plumped every day, because it just collapses under you anyway. It feels sort of comfy when it's just been plumped and you first get into bed but by the next night, it's just sagged in where you slept (and I'm a petite woman, not heavy). It falls off the bed even with deep sheets because there are no straps to keep it in place. We have no time to take off my sheets and plump up the topper every single day, and that's very inconvenient anyway. I give 2 stars (instead of only 1) because it arrived fast, well-packaged, and appears to be decent quality, as in, it's good cotton and it is real down, plus it had instructions for set up. But really, this did NOT make our firm mattress much more comfortable at all, now I have to buy a new topper, and I have nothing to do with this one, which wasn't cheap. It just didn't do the job we bought it to do, which was to make our mattress feel more plush and comfortable. Would definitely not recommend.

So I still have a week or so to return this product. I’m really trying to love it. We have been through several. We have a new memory foam mattress and I like soft. It’s not. So wanted to get some pillow like comfort. As other reviews stated it needs to be fluffed. Not every once in a while, daily as the moment you lay on it, it is flat. Not saying that doesn’t provide extra support but not the cloud I was hoping for. My husband has given up. So I folded the king size over and made a huge twin size for myself. Better, However the feathers again seem to gather at the top and bottom. Much more comfortable this way but thinking there must be a better option. So on the fence. For the money I feel like I want/deserve a cloud. Seeking comfort and super softness as promised. This isn’t it.

Best value and excellent quality. I've been trying to find a featherbed to replace one that is 13 years old. One thing to remember is to lay this out on floor and continually shake out to fluff the feathers. I also shake it every time I change the sheets as it will form to your body. It offers very good support and so far I have not felt any feathers poke out, although i expect some poking eventually. I truly can't believe the price it's beyond a great value. I paid twice this for the exact one years ago

I loved this feather bed topper. It did not have straps or anything to attach to the mattress but it's quite heavy so even though it sits on top of the bed, it stayed in place. However, I found that (with a firmer mattress) it needed a foam pad underneath if you really want a soft, cloud like bed. When I placed it on top of a firm mattress without the foam,it flattened out pretty quickly and didn't help soften the bed at all. Also, it's quite warm. We wound up removing it from the bed because my boyfriend couldn't sleep with the extra heat. He said it felt like he was sleeping on top of a thick blanket. So if you run hot, this may not be for you. I really liked it, but he didn't. Finally, as other commenters have mentioned, when it arrived it had a strong scent. Like damp birds.. I just let it air out for a couple days, fluffed it (oh by the way you'll have to fluff this around once a week to keep it soft when you use it), and put it inside a feather bed protector and then I did not notice the smell anymore. All in all, if you're looking for a warm, super soft cloud like experience- this should be great! I'd recommend it.

I’ve been trying different ones & this is the thickest. Makes any firm mattress soft. Very comfortable.

False advertisement. This is not five inches. It flattens to a pancake the second you touch it. It provides zero cushioning.
