Don't know what kind of thread they are, but black pipe, and or pvc will not work, pretty much useless. James

These were missing o-ring and leak like a sieve. The spring is similar to an ink pen spring and one was missing. Of course, you don't realize this until you've installed it in your hog waterer, then hook it up - nothing leaks immediately - until you go to work for the day and come home to a flooded barn. These are ridiculous poor knock-offs and should be removed from the market!!!!
