I bought this dog for my husband, as he has dementia and misses his dog so much. We all think it is wonderful. There is one problem - changing the batteries. There was no instruction about the screwdriver to use. It is a case of trial and error. It needs new batteries again-. Please supply me with a suitable screwdriver. There is nothing to dislike about this little dog, it is every child's dream to own a cuddly dog that walks,'talks', wags his tail and moves his eyes. He can even play a little tune if you want him to.It is of a sturdy construction, with no sharp edges or dangerous parts, but like any puppy, should not be sat on.You will need three AA batteries to get the dog up and running (these are not supplied), and they should be fitted into the battery compartment on the underside of the dog, then the cover should be fitted, and secured with the screw provided, a screwdriver is supplied for this small task, and this will prevent inquisitive children getting to the batteries and stops any chance of a battery being swallowed.Next to the battery compartment is an on/0ff switch, to save battery power when not in use.The noise level is low, so that the dog is not an irritating toy for mum or dad, and a child can play with the dog to his/her heart's content.Good clear operating instructions are provided,so everything should be covered.

There's a screwdriver supplied in the box for battery installation which is very handy and they were easy to install (3xAA). Once he's up and running there's virtually no mechanical noise at all, just his barking and can play a happy tune, with his lead/controller unplugged he responds to touch and sound instead. I think my niece will adore him.

Very confused as the lead required two batteries to be inserted, when you open the lead controller there is no were to put the batteries. Nothing about why or how itWorks if you don't put the batteries in

When I tried to install battery the batteries in the hand lead the battery carrier's were missing, so I could not install the batteries and the toy would not work.

Gave to my grand daughter for her birthday, but it does not work with the lead plugged in. She loves the puppy but is very disappointed that it does not do what it should. Would it be possible to have a replacement?

So soft to touch and great value for money. It is very lifelike. The battery life is fantastic too.
