Works great!!
I've owned a deep fryer for a couple of months now, and for most of that time I was filtering oil through cheesecloth and a funnel back into the jug it's stored in. What a nightmare. My fryer has a 1-gallon oil capacity, and it takes forever for the oil to go through the funnel a couple of cups at a time. And it has to be held with one hand at all times - funnels don't like to balance with a full load of oil. So I ordered this filter stand, which comes with 10 large filters. What a difference! I wish I had done this a long time ago. An entire gallon of oil goes through in minutes, unattended. I set the frame up over a stock pot - (this is NOT designed to filter oil directly into a bottle) - pour in the oil, and continue cleaning up something else while the oil works it's way through. The last little bit of oil can take a little time because of all the fine particulates the filter catches, but if you set up the oil to filter at the beginning of your clean up session, it will be all done by the time you're ready to put the oil away.Five stars for this great product! You'll save tons of cash by filtering your oil and reusing it instead of tossing it every session. It's great no matter what kind of deep fryer you have, from countertop electric units to those big ol' propane turkey cookers.

Amazingly Fast, Thorough Filtration!
I expected filtering 3 quarts of cooking oil would take a very long time based on a previous attempt using paper towels, but I finished within a few seconds – and the filtration paper caught every tiny bit of material. I couldn’t be more pleased with the product or the ease of the process Now I know I can use this cone and paper to easily filter gallons of oil if I chose (if I ever fry a turkey, for example). After frying a large volume of homemade fries and tater tots I passed the oil through what was a 200 steel mesh filter to remove the larger particles before pouring it through the filter paper. The cone support is strong and durable, and the cone design is superb for enhancing filtration speed. Better yet, it appears I can reuse the filter several times more before disposing of it.

A breeze to use...
Until I started using peanut oil to fry with did I even give consideration to filtering my fry oil. This is simple and does a good job.

I have used cheesecloth and funnels in the past but found it to be a balancing act that I didn't like. I bought this to put over
I use this as part of my backyard maple syrup hobby. I have used cheesecloth and funnels in the past but found it to be a balancing act that I didn't like. I bought this to put over my finishing pot and to pour the hot syrup through before final boil. In concept, it allows me to work by myself...The stand does exactly what I wanted and I am pleased with it. The filters are another story. They blow through almost instantly. About the only thing they are good for is for holding my old standby cheesecloth filters in the stand. As a test, I tried "filtering" cold water, and had virtually the same results although it took 7 seconds longer to break through the filter. Bottom line for me is the stand works great and ultimately I will use it a lot, but IMHO, don't plan on getting any usefulness from the filters supplied with the stand. They may be fine as a backer for another filter, or stacked in multiple, but then what good is that? Your mileage may vary . . .

It’s large & clumsy & filters don’t work
The filters with the product are useless & I wasn’t filtering heavier grease. I was filtering maple sap thin as water. Pouring carefully the filters rip apart & you star over. Some were coming apart at the seams. The filter stand is ok but NOT stainless steel & it’s very large and would be hard to store. Mine came bent. I am returning.

Throw away the included filter cones
The filter paper just falls through the bottom. To use this one, you'll need to clip the filter to the stand. The included filters are junk, don't waste your time, buy others. I used 4 of the included cloth filters to filter some water with debris in it (little pieces of tree bark) and they instantly developed holes, didn't filter anything.

No filters included
The filter stand is fine but there were no filters in the box with it. If not for that then the rating would be higher

Clip
Le centre n'est pas complètement fermé donc le filtre a tendance à glisser et se retrouver dans le contenant d'huile. Il faut donc "clipper" le filtre avec une pince/épingle à linge au pourtour du support.

Don't let oil level get too high...
There is no support at the top of the filter so don't let the oil level get too high or the filter will collapse down and unfiltered oil will pour into your filtered oil. Generally it is good. Flows through faster than when I was using a china cap. I just have to make sure the oil doesnt fill the filter.

Good and study but the bottom opening is too big.
You have to pour slow and only fill the filter half way or it's too heavy and the filter slips through the bottom. I ended up having to buy a plastic reusable coffee filter to set in the middle to prevent my filters from falling through.

Great Product
Filter works well,, used clips to hold the filter in place.

Excellent results
This system for filtering oil is very effective and makes for a much less mmessy job than is possible with a mesh filter. The disadvantage is you are disposing of the filter each time, but I expect it will extend the quality of the oil itself. I'm glad I bought it!
