License Plate is still on and not stolen so far so good. Easy to install and hopefully stays on my car!

I bought this a few years ago, I am always fretting about people taking stuff that has a minimal chance of being taken. It worked really well. I remember having my plate transferred to a new vehicle this year and the car dealer switching the plates and having to go in to get a special tool for my plates. Honestly, at that point, I had forgotten about the antitheft kit. Fast forward to yesterday, I got a new plate from my state. Went to put it on, encountered my anti theft license plate screws... realized I had totally lost the tool. Tested out a bunch of mine, didn't work. What did work was getting on Amazon and overnighting a new kit :) Great marketing plans man, would do this entire shin dig again with this great product.

If your license plates can be stolen with just a Phillips head screwdriver, they are an easy target. These screws have a star-shaped slot, which is itself a deterrent, but they go one step further. There's also a bump in the middle to thwart an ordinary Allen wrench. The included Allen wrench and screw bit have indentations in the middle to get around the bump. Finally, there's a plastic washer that lets you snap a plastic cap over the screw. All in all, unless the would-be thief comes well prepared and has plenty of time, these screws are just the thing to make him think, "Eh, too much trouble! I'll skip this one!" Now, the bad news. Since there's no standard way in the automotive world for attaching license plates, the kit needs to try to cover a variety of situations. The back plate of my Hyundai Kona accommodates the anti-theft screws perfectly, but the screw holes for the front plate are too small for any of the provided screws. I was, however, able to attach the washers that the screw caps snap in to, so the front plate at least has screw caps. Some written directions would be nice. What you see in the photo is what you get, and then I had to return to the web page to see what to do with this stuff. In my case, most of it was extraneous but that's not a problem. They have no way to know what any one person needs so they throw in a lot of stuff. Too bad the collection still didn't fit my front plate screw holes, which is why I dinged them one star. All in all, though, I'm happy with this anti-theft kit.

No instructions included but it’s pretty common sense. Makes the license plate look so much cleaner. Lots of options to secure the plate. Pretty much all the options.

This worked perfectly with my Honda Accord. While security torx bits are not that hard to find, having the caps at least hides what type of bit is needed. Also the caps also make it a little more difficult to access the screws which also helps detour theft.

Seems to be a good little kit, but nothing provided worked for my F10 BMW 5 series. Ended up just giving it to a friend and it worked on his Subaru.
