Ribena - 850ml - 28.74 Fl Oz (Pack of 2)

Blackcurrant is one of my all time favorite flavors! As a Brit can see from the way I spell "flavour" and Favourite", I was not raised in Britain, so I didn't grow up with Blackcurrant flavored products. I'm not sure why the Blackcurrant never established itself as a flavor in the USA, but I didn't know about the flavor until I visited the UK for the first time a few decades ago. I immediately fell in love with it and for many years I missed the flavor, which I could rarely find in the U.S., except for the occasional offering at CostPlus World Market's & similar "import" shops and a single Blackcurrant Preserves (Wilkins & Sons TipTree) which is sold in many grocery stores in the U.S., although its price is exorbitantly high!Ribena Blackcurrant was one of my favorite drinks I discovered while in the UK. Thankfully, with the advent of Amazon, I have been able to slake my desire for Blackcurrant flavored products, including Ribena. Besides its wonderful flavor, one of the things I really like about Ribena is that this drink is very concentrated, which means you don't need to use very much to get lots of flavor, which in turn, makes its high price somewhat easier to justify, since a bottle will last me for quite some time, although I DO deduct one star from my "value for money" rating for its quite high price. I also like the facts that it has a very long (dry) shelf life, and also quite a long refrigerated shelf life, even after opening the bottle. I am sure this is because of the preservatives in it, but it is one of the few items which I buy which contain preservatives, so my intake of them is very low. I use this for flavoring many different items. One of my simplest pleasures is putting a few drops of it in a "rocks" cocktail with bourbon, rum or gin. It compliments the flavor of all of them.I highly recommend Ribena Blackcurrant if you like that flavor. It is absolutely delicious! Except for its high price, it is absolutely deserving of full stars!

good add in for Gundry mct wellness along with black currant, black cherry, foodrella strawberry concentrate and aronia berry; making the expensive Gundry last a lot longer. I keep this concoction in a thermos beside my bed and sip. of course I keep adding these ingredients which never seem to go bad, attesting to their magnificent powers and the combination taste is Devine.

I love Ribena and I'm glad I could find some online to ship here in the States. It's great for mixing in with cider or making your own fruit juice as strong or as weak as you like.

I miss Ribena which is not available anywhere near me in the USA. I do wish it was dairy friendly so I could add it to my morning coffee, but it curdles. Still love it though.

Post value for the money, ordered in September. Received in September. Expires in September. Will probably be ok to drink right away but this is very poor value for the money. It will not happen again.

Yes, I love this stuff. Growing up in Brazil, we used to have it with a different name and then I learned it is made with imported fruits as we can't grow it locally or demand it not high enough.Anyway, this brings back the taste of childhood. It is a syrup, very sweet: just add water and ice. Great taste !!!I heard too it's very popular in Britain. And it's very popular with me.
