She loves to play with this.
Bought for our GGDaughter, and was worth the price as she loves it.

Very cool building toy
Love it! This is the one most well-spent toy I bought recently for my 3-year-old kid. He s been building house, car, plane, goblin, space station, any words he can think of out of this building toy. He started 2 dimension and quickly turned into 3 dimension. I would highly recommend this gem of toy!

Bought two sets already
The kid k’nex are some of our favorite STEAM toys. My kids love these. The eyes, animals, and wheels really connect with them. We love the bendy pieces and different options. They are high quality! 6 year old and toddler approved. If you have more than one kid, I would get two because one set only comes with 4 wheels. We are slowly adding to our collection as we see sales come up.

Classic Building Toy
I am a big fan of classic building toys such as Tinker Toys and Lincoln Logs. I purchased these Kid's K'NEX for my daughter's 4th birthday. She loves them! There are plenty of pieces to build everything pictured. The pieces are easy for her to put together and take apart (Tinker Toys can be tough at times). I especially like the eyes included. It makes building more fun when you can turn anything into an animal! She calls herself an inventor. We enjoy watching her play and seeing what she builds. This is a great building set and STEM toy for young children, any gender.NOTE - the brochure included in the box does NOT include step-by-step instructions on how to build what is pictured. The brochure is two-sided and shows a random assortment of building ideas. Just thought that was worth mentioning in case someone wanted step-by-step instructions.

Good toy, but environmentally clueless
K'Nex makes good toys but over-packages in the extreme. In this set, some of the individual pieces (such as the eyes and feet) were individually wrapped in plastic, then put into a larger plastic bag with other pieces, which in turn was put into a display box that was 2 or 3 times bigger than necessary. That had been shipped individually to Amazon individually in a snugly-fitting brown box, which Amazon shipped to me in yet a far larger box. Surely, if they wanted to, the companies involved could reduce the environmental cost of all this. That said, it is fun, creative, and mostly sturdy. (The eyes, less so.)

My nephew is almost 5 and loves this!
In addition to building things -- which he is a genius at -- he makes hats and wears the pieces. I got him this because he is always making animals with his Legos so I thought it would be fun to have something with eyes. He also loves to build any kind of car, truck, plane, magic rocket, etc. so this was also a great thing for him. These kinds of toys are so great for their development and I just love to watch him build things because his imagination is out of this world. These parts are just the right size for his little hands, but they are a step beyond the toddler Legos so it's sort of a stepping stone to bigger and better building toys. I also like that they are more generic pieces, not specific like some building toys are, so there is no set way to put them together. Aside from the eyes and wheels, the pieces can be pretty much whatever they want them to be. That also increases the chances for creativity. Don't get me wrong -- the Legos sets that have them build a specific thing are really good for teaching kids to follow plans and directions (in addition to learning colors, sizes, etc.), but sometimes I just like seeing what his mind comes up with.If you have a budding architect or engineer, this is the toy for them.

Great for 4 year olds!
My 4 1/2 year old son LOVES to build designs using his Kids K’nex. He originally had one starter set, but since this set included wheels, it was a great addition to the first set. I would not recommend this for younger little ones though. The blue connecting pieces are very little and could definitely be a choking hazard. We just make sure to clean all of the pieces up really good so his little brother can’t get to them. This is great for hand/eye coordination as well as learning how to follow a design. (The set comes with a design suggestion page.) Our little one sometimes follows the design, but often dreams up his own design, which is great too! Highly recommend!!
