I use this product in my wooden signs. It protects my work from the outside elements. The oil based is a wonderful product as well, but unfortunately yellows things. Will definitely purchase again. I wish the price was a little lower as I’m from Canada.

Easy to clean up and goes on smoothly. Perfect for outdoor wooden signs and they say it won’t yellow.

After reading reviews and looking at numerous products I splurged on this. I really didn’t want to pay that price bc depending on its performance, I may never use again. I found an abandoned table, I sanded it, painted it, and stenciled some designs. As a novice the stenciling took a LONG time. I think I would have had a breakdown if the topcoat would have messed up the whole project, hence my picky, nervous decisions. I can’t stress enough that you should practice first. I had a piece of scrap wood I test paint colors, and had even tested stencil ideas, so I tried it first and am glad I did. I learned for my project the crafty spongy brushes worked best, work in small areas, keep a wet edge, make sure your brush is loaded, start at the middle and move to the edge. Other reviewers talked about it drying very quickly. I didn’t experience this for 2 possible reasons; either I used thicker coats or there was lower humidity and temperatures at the time. I found I was able to feather out any stop marks, thick edges, or brush marks. I really think weather and lighting play a big factor here.I can’t speak on the durability of the product yet, but it better hold up! No matter what product you go with, practice first!
