Clara and Clem Take a Ride (Penguin Young Readers, Level 1)

my daughter and I both enjoy this book. it is easy to read and, even though the story is simple, it is interesting and requires some thought to understand. clara and clem take an imaginary ride in a car they have built out of blocks, but you don't really see that until the end of the book which makes it fun for new readers to figure out. my daughter likes pointing out the colored speech bubbles that correspond to each of the kids and I like the fact that clara is the adventurous one and not clem.

We really enjoy the Clara and Clem series of books. They truly are Level 1 and consist of simple words, fun adventures, rhyming, and visual cues to help reading. These books help instill confidence in my early reader. The characters are sweet, Clara is adventurous, Clem a bit more cautious, together their imagination takes them on a lovely road trip.

Simply stated, this is a great early reader! We are at the stage of level one and level two books. We have read many, many, many books. This one is fun, quirky and exciting to my five year old. Great use of the early sight words, with one or two "new" words to ponder. I would love to see these characters grow into higher level books!

started with 'Tiny goes to the Library' and got a few more from the series - very happy :)This level is a bit simple if the goal is to entertain ~2yo.

Menudo fiasco... Una tomadura de pelo. 1-2 palabras por pagina. Vale que es el nivel 1, para que empiecen a leer, pero con dos palabras por pagina, poco van a aprender
