Absolute garbage
Purchased two of these units from Amazon. Both devices had a "rattle" sound inside as if there was something loose moving around. So, me being me, I decided to open up both units to take a look. Turns out the "rattle" sound I was hearing was just a plastic insulator on the LED's used to prevent the leads from shorting together. However, while inside I also discovered some other very questionable quality concerns. The very first thing that stood out was the large amount of solder splatter present all over the primary and secondary PCB's in both units (see pics). Yes, both PCB's are obviously masked which helps prevent splatter from shorting out the traces. However, on one unit, the splatter was actually found bridging two different signal paths together at one location where two solder points were in close proximity of each other. (I unfortunately popped it off using my fingernail prior to getting a pic). There was also several "questionable" solder joints present in both units. While not quite considered a cold solder joint, these connections were of very poor quality. IMHO whoever soldered these units either lacked the skills to solder properly, didn't care about what they were doing, or possibly both. The final straw was also finding metal shavings from the extrusion (case) itself inside the unit. These shavings were presumably from when the end cap screws were threaded into the untapped screw provisions for the very first time. Not sure how either of these units passed QC, but the severity of these issues ultimately pushed me to the point of returning both for a refund.Needless to say I will never purchase On-Stage products ever again...

Incredible Device
We have had hum in our audio system when connecting audio from a computer, cd player and dvd player. The have tried to get rid of this hum for nearly 2 years unsuccessfully. I saw the On-Stage DB2050 and ordered it to see if it would get rid of our hum problems. We connected it to our system, and IMMEDIATELY the hum was gone and our audio system now works perfectly. Thanks you On-Stage. We highly recommend this device.

What stands out on this box to me is the single XLR line input.
This is your standard passive direct box. It has all the standard "in", "out", and pass threw ports. This is a mono device. What stands out on this box to me is the single XLR line input. Most direct boxes do not have this.

Returned the unit because it requires phantom power to work. Turned out that the active speakers did not supply that.
