Harney & Sons Citron Green loose tea 3 oz tea tin

I was looking forward to receiving this tea since the review was rather excellent and it says, “Citron” the Yuzu that I miss the flavor of Japan. And I received it today and could not wait to try. I noticed that the tea was looking very thick and beautiful apparently good quality tea leaves I noticed. Yet, I smelled orange like smell. I saw the description of ingredients and it said orange oil instead of “citron.” I was kind of shocked. I tried it to see if I like it... I had to say I did not taste anything like green tea that I know all I tasted was “orange oil.” I have been searching for my favorite tea from specific companies like Ippodo etc., and I just did not enjoy this tea at all. I am sorry to state such a harsh review but I just being very honest. I like Ippodo Kukihoujicha and I repeatedly order it, but this tea is not going to be the one I would come back to.

Big, beautiful leaves and a lovely citrus aroma. The taste is delicate and fresh, a tea I could drink all day. The green and the citrus flavors blend nicely. The tin was so full I could barely measure out enough to brew my first cup without spilling it, so good value. If you're looking for a strong green tea taste with just a hint of citrus, this is probably not the one for you but I really love the flavor and am very pleased with my purchase.

The citron flavor is too much for my taste. I was hoping for a more subtle tea than the Davidson’s earl green I just tried. Not quite as harsh as the Davidson’s but still too harsh. Try brewing less tea, hotter and linger to minimize the harsh citron.

I've had far better Citron Green Tea than this. Drank it once and threw the rest away.

One of my favorite teas. Citrus favor is bright and sweet.

Bought as a gift to a tea lover. The recipient was extremely happy with the tea and, therefore, so am I.

I really like this tea. I found it many years ago and it left a pleasant memory. I was delighted to rediscover it. It is mild and refreshing. Good cold or hot. To avoid bitterness follow the instructions and don't overbrew it.
