Minwax 43205000 Helmsman Spar Urethane Clear, pint, Satin

You get to pay the full price for a quart but receive only half the product...lucky you! This seems to be one of Amazon's new "business innovations"...Arrange a reduced package size with the manufacturer and keep the pricing the same. I've had this happen with several "amazon prime" products I have bought over the last year. Like all things internet, eventually it goes bad...time to move on to another platform.

I purchased this product because of the good reviews. A friend used a wooden pallet to replace the top of my outdoor patio table after the glass had broken. I was ready to toss it when I came across the idea to just replace the top but I needed a durable varnish to keep the wood looking like new in the outdoor weather. My father had used a spar varnish on projects he had done years ago and I thought I would give it a try. So far it has held up fine through many rainy and hot, sunny days this past spring, summer, and fall. May have to give it an extra coat after winter, but I would recommend it to anyone trying to refinish something for outdoor use.

You can buy a bigger can of this for less at your local W store. But if your not willing to drive, and willing to wait for this to arrive, ... minwax is a great brand. I wish I had checked the discription more carefully

The product is very good - however you can buy a quart for the same price at Lowe’s that you are buying a pint on amazon.Other then paying too much on amazon - had I bought it at Lowe’s I would have rated 5 stars because the product is excellent.

Pay attention to amounts. Paid quart price for one pint. Kinda feel ripped off.
