Definitely worth the purchase
If you are a kayaker this type of vest is the best to buy. The kind that have the floatation that goes all the way over your shoulders does not work as well because they shoulder portions ride way up near your ears and make it harder to paddle. I'm very happy with the quality of this vest, well made, some reflective strips, and looks like it will last for a long time. This is a side zip which I like because then there is a front zipper pocket to carry small items. I use for my phone, I put it in a separate water tight pouch in there for emergencies. I bought the small to medium (S/M) size, I'm 5'6" and 125, I've got the straps snugged up to about halfway for all of them and it fits nice and snug like a glove. Does not ride up or slosh around. I checked out the prices for other vests, even other Stohlquists can be much more expensive. I think this was a great purchase for the price ($95)

Easy to adjust. Comfortable. Nice pocket.
I bought four of these because it noticed the same brand and model being worn by a fellow who reviews kayaks on You Tube. I like the side zip, which allows for a central pocket ideal for easy access to my cell phone. Our family uses our flotation devices while using both peddle and paddle kayaks and these vests are comfortable with either style kayak. The arm area allows for easy movement. Adjustments are easy - if you buy this and don't like the initial fit, play with it a bit. It adjusts in every direction. My wife gives this an 8/10 and I give it 10/10. We have four of these and, if we need more vests, will buy more of the same. All flotation devices have some bulk - this is a vest you can wear all day.

Thicker, and fit great!
Needed a life jacket for a recent rafting trip, and this one did amazing! Comfortable, fit well, and the color is the best!Side note: front pocket fits a brewsky perfect while on the water 😜🍻

Comfortable
Took it on a ten mile kayak and it was very comfortable. Good range of motion and not too bulky. It could use an extra lashing point for a radio, but on balance I liked it. More comfortable than my Kokatat Bahia, 1/3 the price and less bulky.

Great fit and comfort
Bought this to replace an older Stohlquist jacket and am very pleased with the fit and comfort. I am a raft guide and this jacket hugs me without being constricting, doesn't tend to ride up and dries out very quickly. The large pocket on the front is very handy and the side entry function is easy on and off. I wear a 44 regular sport coat and the L/XL fits me great.

Happy with my life vest
Used this life vest for windsurfing classes and it was used during high gusty winds and chop. I am happy with the buoyancy and the freedom of movement. Love the color. And vest is very adjustable at shoulders and bilaterally at waistI am a 135 lb. Woman

Very comfortable
This is the first paddling specific PFD I’ve had and think it’s a good compromise between size and thickness of the floatation. I will say, if you’re one who just keeps their PFD in the boat until you dump, I think this would be very difficult to put on in the water as the mesh side panel with zipper can be a bit cumbersome to get zipped and snapped. But, the side zip allows for the nice front pocket where I keep my phone and small binoculars. I’ve paddled around 50 mi so far and no complaints.

Great PFD.
So comfortable it feels like I'm not wearing it. Love it.

Quick delivery, good item
The PFD was great, used it shortly after it arrived. Item was also much cheaper than sold on the US website, and it arrived within a matter of 3 days. Impressed.

Good entry level PFD for kayaking
I found it well made and of good quality materials. The cutting allows for free arm and shoulder movement. The rubberized texturing running inside the waist belt area keeps the PFD from riding up which is important for safety and comfort-wise. The front lash tab is great for attaching a rescue knife or small strobe light.Although the foam is contoured on the outside to fit the body, the same can't be said of the inside as some have noted that the front and back panels are flat and don't really wrap around the body. The front zippered pocket is good but would be even better if it were more expandable and had mesh pockets or organizational dividers inside. My other concern was over the durability of the zip and it's exposed design. It would be better if there was either a small Velcro fold tab over the zipper pull or have the side strap run across and over it.Although overall a good and well priced PFD, I was looking for a one that was suitable for kayaking expeditions so I decided to sell it and evaluate the NRS Ninja (2020 version) PFD instead.
