Works great and is fast and easy to install
This review is updated to discuss my recent purchase of the entire system. This product works great and it took only about 7 minutes to set up!As you can see in my earlier review below, I initially purchased just a single mesh point to address a dead zone in my house. The single mesh point worked well, so I ordered the entire system (AmpliFi HD base station and two additional mesh points). The new system bathes my house in fast wifi signal. My flat is in a 1920s building with lots of lathe and plaster and chicken wire in the walls. This is normally a wifi signal killer, so I had lots of wifi dead zones in my place. With the AmplFi HD system I am getting really fast signal and NO DEAD ZONES! Download speed exceeds 125 mbs in most locations in my flat, whereas before using the AmpliFi system I was getting speeds of about 40 mbs in non-dead zones.Setting up the AmpliFi system is very simple using the free iPhone app. There are only two wires in the entire system: the Ethernet cable that connects the base station to your modem and the power cord for the base station. Each mesh point plugs directly into a wall power socket. Here is my review of my earlier purchase of just a single mesh point. This works just as well as promised. I have a wi-fi dead zone that has challenged my Netgear range extender and defeated my extender from Almond. I was desperate for a solution so I looked into mesh systems, and chose AmpliFi. I did not buy the entire system, but simply purchased a single Mesh Point HD. It wirelessly connects to my Arris cable router located at the other end of my house. The Mesh Point HD delivers speeds nearly as fast as the router itself. Plus, it takes less than two minutes set-up via an app that you download onto your phone or tablet. Other advantages: the Mesh Point does not require a different address (e,g, "_ext5") as do most range extenders, therefore you do not have to change network names in different parts of the house.

This is the one you want when you need professional Wi-Fi extension
There are a bunch of wifi extenders out on the market. If you truly want one that grabs your existing signal and boosts it to a whole new area of your property, this is the one to buy. I have three of them that I use. One sits at the back door and extends my signal throughout the large patio area. Another extends my signal from the house to the garage which is 60 feet of so from the house. Powerful enough to drive three cameras. Works perfectly. Because we are rural at our home, we have an emergency generator. It is Wi-Fi enabled yet the garage extender doesn't reach to it. I added another extender and now I can control the generator from my phone. These are easy to setup. You download the app to your phone, grab the signal you want to extend and that's it. Really easy, but the most powerful of all the extenders out there. Don't make the mistake of buying some cheap toy when you need professional tools. This is the real deal.

Works great - instructions included for set up help
I am astonished at how well this works. I've tried other wifi extenders that increased my signal strength, but the download speed was slower. This is the first extender I've ever tried that actually increased my speed! Connecting to the router on the other side of my house, I would usually get a speed of 70 mbps with a signal strength of 2 bars. With the AmpliFi I get 110 mbs with 4 bars of signal! I'm finally getting the speed that I'm paying my ISP for.One caveat - though easy to set up, the phone app you use to set it up has a bug. Here's an explanation from Androidpolice.com how to get past the problem:"Unfortunately, this is where you will first hit the bug in the AmpliFi app: for some reason, after finishing setup, it will try and try to connect to your network and see your mesh point, but it won't. I forced a reconnect a few times to no avail. Then, after looking at the mesh point and seeing it was lighting up 5 solid blue LEDs which indicate it was working, I grew a little dubious of the app, so I opened the side menu, tapped on Switch AmpliFi and chose I already have configured AmpliFi. And there you have it, it showed up in the app and everything was fine. After the initial setup, I discovered that my AMPHD needed a firmware update so I started that process. It too was easy: a minute or two and everything was ready, except that once again, the app threw the "Unable to locate device" page at me. This time, I knew what to do and instantly went back to the menu and connected manually. Honestly this is exasperating. This bug has been there for months and months in the AmpliFi app, and the team should have fixed it by now. I'm sure there are users wondering why their mesh points won't work and the answer is they're working just fine, it's just the app that's having trouble transitioning from the setup state to the connected state."

The work all around my house.
They form a nice mesh, and I haven't had any issues with "too much traffic" slowing down my Apple TV device. However, I have had to use the 2.4GHz radio for the backhaul, because the 5GHz signal is too weak from the mesh points.
