Worth the price
Very nice waffle maker. I like that the griddle “irons” are removable and easy to clean. The heating is fairly even and cooks the batter thoroughly. I follow the recipe (provided in the owners manual) for the Belgian waffles. They come out well and taste good. Being able stow the powerful cable makes it simple to find a nice storage spot for this unit when not in use. I spray the surface with cooking oil and the waffles release without any trouble.

Family Breakfasts Just Got Way Better
The KRUPS 4-Slice Belgian Waffle Maker has been a great addition to our kitchen. It’s easy to use, heats up quickly, and makes four full-size waffles at once, which is perfect for family breakfasts (especially when you’ve got hungry kids waiting). The 5 browning levels let you customize the crispness — I like mine golden and fluffy, and it nails it every time. The audible beep is a small but super helpful feature so I don’t have to hover and guess when they’re done.Cleanup is surprisingly easy thanks to the removable plates — they pop right out and rinse clean without much effort. Plus, the stainless steel design looks sleek and feels durable. If you’re looking for a reliable waffle maker that balances performance and convenience, this is a solid choice. Definitely makes weekends feel a little more special.

"I am waffle!" maker
I'm not obsessed with waffles, but, once in a while, I'll mx up a ton of batter to have a waffle fest. This big waffle maker performs its one simple task well and is a breeze to clean, a huge plus. You want regular waffles, Belgium waffles, gluten free waffles, (all my waffles are GF), healthy waffles, fruity waffles, lots, or a couple of waffles, and you want them cooked up today, this is your baby. Brush some avocado oil on, add about 1/2 C. of batter to center of each square and soon the family will be sitting down enjoying a wonderful treat. I've had 3 other waffle irons, (smaller single serve). Making a vat of batter also meant manning the waffle iron for 2 hours. Not fun. This one beats them all, and no aggravating waffle failures. The Krups waffle maker is big so storage space should be considered. It does have a nice built-in carry handle with a latch. The plates detach for ez, quick cleaning, (no one likes to be taunted by a stuck waffle), but I would not use a dishwasher. Only minor flaw is that the top and bottom plates are not interchangeable. Tiny print imbedded in each iron must be deciphered. Top goes to the top, bottom to the bottom, no switcheroos. Each plate snaps firmly in place. Waffles turn out as they should- tasty with an appearance that proudly screams, "I am waffle!". Yes, I recommend.

Almost the waffles of my childhood in France!
The best of the best. I have one same brand 7 years old and still working perfectly except the alarm that is a little weaker than some years ago. But I don’t care as I use a timer on my watch. I like my waffles all medium brown, crunchy outside and soft inside, to my taste it takes about 5/6 minutes. A tip to know if the waffle is ready no more steam should be seen coming out from the waffle maker. It means it’s cooked, but sometime I have a look and it still needs a little more times . An advice: never let the waffles wait inside the machine once it’s cooked at your taste , you would ruin them, take them out and enjoy them. They can be frozen still warm in a glass container and you will get them as freshly cooked if you put them in a good toaster on defrost and watching to get them like they were when freshly baked. I make now only GF by obligation and they’re are amazingly delicious and nobody ever notice before I reveal it. I recently bought a second one being afraid than the tariffs could affect the prices too much and they could be more difficult to get if my old would decide to be retired! The new one has a strong alarm and works as well as its ancestor and they are precious when more family members arrive and claim vehemently please make your waffles, please, please! So much so I ask myself do they really come for me or my waffles? 😅 oh! I almost forgot , cleaning is a breeze, I never put the waffle plates in the dish washer and wash then only using a soft sponge with soap and warm water. For cooking I rarely use butter on them but a good avocado oil that I apply with a silicone brush for pastry. Enjoy!

Great waffle iron for hashbrowns TOO!
I love this waffle maker!!! It has the removable waffle plates, easy to clean, and… The machine is easy to clean, not so many crevices where food can hide. I had a similar waffle maker from a more expensive brand that worked for my family for many years, then it just quit. We checked the fuses, and all of the parts, couldn't find the problem. So I ordered this wonderful item, and so far I am very happy with it. I love the simple dial feature for different levels of heat, and, I especially like the beep feature. I have made small hash brown patties in it, and I noticed the beep sounded according to the moisture level of the patties. When the waffle iron first heated, it beeped at five minutes, nice brown patties. My other batches brought me six minutes, no burnt hashbrowns! So you could say this is a "smart waffle maker!" It makes really nice waffles too. If you really want a delicious waffle, separate your eggs before mixing, fluff the egg whites into a foam with a little bit of sugar at the end, then fold them into your waffle batter. Make the waffle batter scoopable rather than a liquid pourable viscosity. Then you could put about 1/2 cup of batter in the center of each of the quadrants of the plate. There should be no overflow with this amount. You will have a delicious, crunchy, soft in the middle waffle. This waffle maker is nice and compact for its size, has a short cord that rolls up around the pegs in the back. It is a low profile appliance that can be stored on its feet or on its end.
