It's okay. It's not you, it's the mower's fault
If you are here because you're fixing a mower, I can honestly say I know what you're going through. I did the same thing and the silly thing still won't work. As far as this solenoid goes though, it's cheap, it's shiny, it works, and isn't too heavy. It was easy to take out the old one, and just as easy to put in the new one. Just remember though, fixing the mower can be frustrating, but you'll get through this!

Works fine
No complaints. Installed easily on a craftsman 50โ mower, model 917.273100, with 22hp Koehler engine. Original one had two bolts to attach to tractor. This has one hook and one bolt. The hook fits in the other bolt hole so made no difference in installation (might even be an advantage if a bolt broke when taking old one off!). My original solenoid was bad but verify that the relayโs coil is being fed +12v, in case your problem is a safety switch issue in the ignition circuit (eg operator seat switch, brake pedal switch, key switch etc).Works flawlessly and it is nice not having to ruin my screw drivers arcing across the heavy terminals any more!

Solved my problem!
Couldn't get my Craftsman riding mower (made by Husqvarna) to start. I first checked the battery and it was fine. I thought it may be the starter or the solenoid that was bad. After reading troubleshooting reviews on YouTube I decided to start with replacing the solenoid since it was the easiest and least expensive option. This OEM replacement was exactly like the original. It was easy to install...took about 15 minutes. After installation the mower fired right up. Saved me the headache of thinking I might have to replace the starter. I am very happy that this easy fix solved my mower problem. My 2014 mower starts like new. I highly recommend this starter solenoid for Craftsman mowers.

Rotary NOT OEM
It is not OEM. It is not Original Sears Craftsman Husqvarna. It is Rotary. A generic aftermarket part. It may look the same and priced as OEM but we will see about the quality. We both know calling it "Original" is bull.

Worked on my front engine Snapper.
I have an older front engine Snapper riding lawnmower. After trying to start it up after winter, it would only click once. Having had similar sounds from other small engines, I pulled the starter from the mower.Looking up the part number on Amazon I got this starter. Unfortunately it is not manufactured in the USA like the old one, but it dated back to 1999.I out the new one on. The only difference is that there is a tab where one of the bolt holes used to be. My guess is that companies could save a couple of pennies by only using one bolt instead of two. I just bent the tab into the second bolt hole and it held perfectly. The old girl started right up.Will update if unit fails to last more than a couple of seasons, but I am guessing there is not a lot to go wrong with the part. Would recommend.
