Are there pockets in the inside?

1 inner zipper pocket and 2 open pocket.

What color are the straps? Specifically, on the gray bag.

They are brown...not exactly what I like, but the bag works for me.

Is it black on the inside or a different color or print material?

The outside is more of a charcoal-brown. The strap is definitely brown, as is the inside. Overall, it's more of a brownish color. Quality seems good, but definitely not black, or even close.

does it seem like the zipper is in reverse

I guess if you wear it with the outside zipper pocket close to your body it would be a little difficult to get to the top zipper. If you wear the outside zipper away from your body it works. I use the outside zipper pocket for my phone as it is easier to get to if the bag is over my left shoulder.
