Wonderful flashlight.
I picked one of these up because I was tired of little flashlights that take weird batteries that don't last. I have several mega lumen lights that fit in the palm of my hand, but they are frequently too bright, don't control the light very well or don't maintain brightness. This maglite is fairly compact in just two C cells. It is plenty bright, and it has excellent focus adjustments in just a quarter turn and runs for many hours on a set of batteries.

!!! AWESOME FLASHLIGHT !!!
This is the best flash light I have ever bought. I use it at work to check multiple rooms many times through the night. It fits nicely in a holder on my belt. Its not to heavy like the bigger mag lights and I can sit down comfortably with it on. I go through two C batteries every month and a half to two months. Compared to my last smaller fancy flashlight that was only good for a couple of weeks before it would need new batteries. Also some of my co workers have purchased flashlights well more than twice the cost of this one at specialty stores. When we compared our lights, mine with new batteries and theirs with a fresh charge. This light was just as bright if not brighter than theirs and I don’t have to constantly plug it in to a charger for it to be ready. For what I do this flashlight has a way longer working life between batterie changes for it’s size, compared to anything I’ve seen so far. Even when the batteries are getting low it still produces plenty of light to run against the other flashlights It’s been compared to. I personally rely on this flashlight every night I’m at work for safety/security reasons and that is why I do not hesitate to recommend this flashlight. If you need a good everyday dependable light, this light has been awesome for me. Thank you for taking the time to read my review, I hope it helps. FYI I use mode #4 one press is full power momentary, two clicks is full power on, and three clicks is strobe. It’s the mag light “tactical” mode. I use momentary by far the most.

2 c Mag light
Great light but, a bit pricey even for a mag light. Would I buy it again? YES!

I like this light
This is a really good maglite. Bright compact and feels sturdy. For a two cell flashlight it cuts through the darkness well. It is an LED so the battery should last a long time. I would recommend this light.

Great update to a classic
Heavy duty body maglite is known for while a bit lighter than the classic c cell maglite that I have had for decades. So bright you can clearly see the light in daylight.

Sweet spot in size, capability, and quality.
I have used and enjoyed Maglite products for years. This light, with its 12 ounce weight, and 490 lumen output, along with additional light levels, utilization modes, and color choices qualifies as the best light to date. It is the ideal compromise of having enough size to provide power and long illumination times, along with a light that can be easily weilded by anyone. It delivers like a much larger light, fits in a jacket pocket, offers appropriate light levels for the forest or under the hood of the car. Batteries are commonly available and not ridiculously expensive, and the barrel size of the light is slim enough for those smaller in stature, but gives those with big mitts enough real estate to manipulate the light without dropping it. Not least of all, it is made in the USA. Buy it, and your other flashlights will become conspicuously inferior by comparison.

Maglight reaches a mega low quality low
I purchased a maglite 2C light flashlight is terrible the reflector is cheap plastic the beam is terrible the piece that sets on top of the reflector is a peace of plastic which is scratched and it has bubbles in it and it is scratched they must have gotten itout of the trash somewhere there quality control has hit a new low the b e a m of light does not adjust very well from a smaller size to a larger size and there's not much difference between the smaller and the larger size b e a m when brought up to the larger size there is a dark circle in the middle terrible flashlight extremely overpriced piece of trash wouldn't have mind paying the price I paid had it been a quality flashlight thought I was ordering a quality flashlight and it's far from it I would highly strongly suggest not to be purchased you would have better results with a candle

The light of my life.
What a solid well working light. Maglite has always been my families go to flashlight from my grandfather, father and to me. I wouldn't use any other flashlights. when you need something dependable for everyday use or emergencies, Maglites are my go to flashlights. The 2 C cell batteries 'surprisingly ' offer up a long run time. This particular model is small, light and easy to handle. I highly recommend this product.

Greetings from England!
There's something satisfying about stuff made in the USA. If only our laws were a little more liberal! I'm somewhat of a torch addict! I use them professionally in the emergency services as well as off duty. The amount of Chinese flashlights flooding the market make it challenging to get a decent torch. My current favourite emitters are the great sft40 and the xhp70.3 hi. Great as they are, they run very hot, throttle output to manage thermals and chew through batteries. Even finding decent 18650 or 26650 batteries from China is a task and the last thing I need is my battery dying in the middle of a job. The maglite ml50lx now sits along side my Sofirn if22a and Streamlight Stinger DS. The ml50lx has a really long runtime. It's designed to run on cheap alkaline so runtime can be extended with better cells. It has a nice 1/8 turn flood-spot adjuster which only needs a very short rotation of the head to adjust which is lovely. The button is has 4 banks which can be easily selected. Each bank has its own mode and features such as momentary-on are there. The button is a crisp, short-travel electronic type, but note this will consume miniscule amounts of power as technically the controller will always be powered up even when the torch is off. A short counter-clockwise rotation of the battery cap will power the torch down fully. Workable beam distance is 70% of my Sofirn, id say about a good 100 meters. Construction feels absolutely amazing. It's lovely and I totally dig the knurled grip pattern. Will report back on runtime. Thanks Uncle Sam, England
