**Q: Is this chincona from Peru?  If not, where is it sourced?**
A: All the Cinchona Bark we market is harvested in Mexico because we have better control of it. Thank you for asking. Steve at Herbal Advantage.

A: There is about 4 cups of Cinchona Bark Cut in a one pound package. Thanks, Steve at Herbal Advantage.

**Q: How do you use this product?**
A: I use it to make the Vesper Martini.  Since Kina Lillet (with quinine) is no longer made I use regular Lillet Blanc and add it to the wine.  Infuse the bark with vodka for about 3 days and strain.  Add about 1/2 ounce per 7 ounce martini.  Delicious!

**Q: Is it sprayed or heated?**
A: No no it appears not, taste is fully astringent, reactions of tannin and quinine, also makes a good chew and it seemed fresh when I got it in. Useful for what quinine is for, not suitable for preparations with iron due to the tannins. It appears mid grade somewhere between feathered fractures and chunk, good plant medicines.

So the top half of the bag has fairly large chunks of the bark as shown in the picture but down towards the bottom the chunks get smaller and are finally at the bottom kind of a fine powder. I would say a little more than 3/4 is the larger chunks, I took a small piece set on it then chewed on it It had a slightly bitter taste, seems to be the right product, yes I would recommend this to others. I am using mine by grinding it and putting it in capsules, so even if it would have been just powder I would have been fine with it, however that being said I like that the product was as advertised, with the larger chunks of bark.
