Review: Best item - Best wine opener. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00092M4AI | | Country of Origin | USA | | Item Dimensions LxWxH | 17.8 x 5.7 x 6.4 Centimeters | | Item Weight | 49.9 g | | Item model number | 80-138 | ## Images ![Cork Pops Legacy Wine Bottle Opener, Black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61-TmuTbqtL.jpg) ![Cork Pops Legacy Wine Bottle Opener, Black - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Zs46mR1ML.jpg) ![Cork Pops Legacy Wine Bottle Opener, Black - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Dw8LTC3gL.jpg) ![Cork Pops Legacy Wine Bottle Opener, Black - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71uz3mgzwpL.jpg) ![Cork Pops Legacy Wine Bottle Opener, Black - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/614E93nRIoL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does this opener work on the non-cork plastic "corks" that are now very popular?** A: I have about 50% success rate. A 'real' cork seals tight around the needle, so the squirt of gas you send in the bottle pushes the cork out. With a lot of synthetic corks, the material takes a 'set' when you stab it, so if you don't go straight in with care, and maybe wiggle the needle a bit, the plastic doesn't spring back and the gas comes back out the top of the cork. I still like it, but keep a 'regular' corkscrew around, you might need it. **Q: Just got mine. the directions say not to use on1.5 litter bottles. that’s the only kind i use. what gives?** A: I loved this product which is why I ordered 2 as gifts, and also bought 2 extra boxes of gas refill cylinders. I use my original Cork Pops on regular size wine bottles and on the larger ones. No problem with either size. I think the current problem is with the quality of the gas inside the new refill canisters. As a test I switched out the canisters, the new openers, and my original opener. They all have a big problem pulling the cork out of the bottle. Not happy. Ready to return them. **Q: If anyone purchased the one with copper finish, how is the copper finish wearing over time?** A: Had it 6 months. A bottle every two nights. No wear. **Q: Why is this not available for sale on Catalina?** A: It contains pressurized cartridge that cannot ship by air and must be shipped ground service. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best item *by Y***E on 4 June 2025* Best wine opener. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love this thing *by S***M on 5 January 2019* This is a better mousetrap, it really is. And it's such fun to use. Great conversation piece. Ideal gift item; everyone loves it. In truth, it's not the easiest thing to use, just because it's not obvious how to use it, how much force is needed to get the needle in, how much force is needed to pull the cork out, how to free the cork after it's pulled. I mean, for me, it's super-simple, but I've seen others struggle with it. For the mechanically declined, perhaps the simpler model without the collar piece may be more intuitive; but this model looks really nice, and I think the collar piece reduces the risk of damaging the needle by not going straight down. If you are expecting that the cork pops right out just under the pressure of the gas, forget it. Maybe one out of ten corks just comes up like that; most of the time you need to apply *some* upward force to get it started, but we're talking maybe one pound of force, vs. like ten pounds with a corkscrew. Every once in a while, I've gotten a few drops of wine splash out of the bottle when the cork pops. It's a small thing, but it's a thing. I think maybe I was hand-holding the bottle instead of letting it rest on a counter while opening when that happened. I'm quite happy with how much use I'm getting out of each canister of CO2. I would say conservatively I got 30 bottles opened with the first canister. Probably more. The built-in foil cutter is passable if you can't find your dedicated foil cutter. I've bought a couple of these as gifts, and look forward to gifting more of these as opportunity arises. ## Frequently Bought Together - Cork Pops Legacy Wine Opener Built-in 4-Blade Foil Cutter Safe Cork Removal, Effortless Push Button Use, Needle Guard for Safety, Low-Pressure Cartridge Opens Up To 60 Bottles - Cork Pops Wine Bottle Opener Refill Cartridges 2 Per Box- Eco-Friendly Low-Pressure, Fits All Cork Pops Models Opens 60-80 Bottles Per Cartridge 1 Box - Cork Pops Cartridge Bottle Opener Refills (3 Packs of 2 Refills) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ph/products/340953581-cork-pops-legacy-wine-bottle-opener-black](https://www.desertcart.ph/products/340953581-cork-pops-legacy-wine-bottle-opener-black) --- *Product available on Desertcart Philippines* *Store origin: PH* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
