One of the most frustrating things about flexographic printing plates is that the adhesive loses strength over time no matter how careful you are. In our business, we add customer logos to our products so we have to cycle through printing plates quite often. In the past, when the adhesion would begin to lessen, we would use masking tape on the edges until there was no adhesion left and then buy new plates. This is frustrating as the plates can be quite expensive. More frustrating is that the plates aren't worn enough to warrant a replacement.After doing some searching, I found this adhesive on Amazon. I figured it couldn't hurt to give it a shot and see if I could restore the plates adhesive so the plates would have a longer life. The purchase was very worthwhile! It bonded very well with the printing plate and excellent with aluminum roller. Even better is that it didn't peel off on the roller. I am incredibly satisfied and excited that we could save $1000 or more each year by simply reapplying a $3 sheet every few cycles. I definitely recommend it for general use coder printing!

Exactly as described.. sheets of genuine 3M material.You must have a plan going in, and maybe some scrap to practice on. This stuff grips hard, stretches and won't let go. If you make one mistake, you get a bubble or doubled-over lump. Smaller stuff is easy, but if you're doing a full 12x12, really think about how it's going to go down -- and don't change course.You can float it with soapy water or RapidTak a little, but it's still grippy. Let it dry completely before removing the backing, as wet backing might lift the adhesive and make lumps. Use a roller.

Used this to attach foam heel rests on my son's racing kart. Worked very well. Held up to high stress and vibration. But very thin and needs to be handled carefully during application to be sure there is fun coverage and does not fold over on itself. Also had to buy more then I needed for this application, but I'm sure it will come in handy for other applications. Also lower cost/smaller quantity than from industrial suppliers.

Product works great. This delivery , product arrived folded in the bag. With it even saying do not fold on the package.Do better amazon.

Reattached my tank pads to new tanks perfectly. This is great for those kinds of applications. Thinner but strong grip.

When you peel the bigger wax sheet and apply it to the surface, everything seems okay and normal. However, when you attempt to remove the brown sheet (that has the 3M logo on it), the adhesive detaches from the surface it is currently laid onto, ruining with adhesive layer with holes that have no adhesive on it. And if you attempt to remove the brown sheet first, the adhesive leaves the wax sheet. This product needs two wax sheets that releases the adhesive uniformly and easily. As is, this product is a waste of money.You have to pull very, very, very slowly in small increments - not upwards but horizontally, then go back in the same increments to tamp down the detached adhesive. Try not to break the adhesive, since any holes will curl up onto itself and enlarge the holes (resulting in rubber snot - as another reviewer put it). Expect to spend 30 minutes or more just to lay one adhesive sheet - after you ruin the first and second.
