Great expansion for an already great game!
I already loved the base game. It's 9.5/10 for me, but this expansion makes it that final jump up to a 10. I like the extra things that come with it to add more variety which wasn't exactly needed but after 10 plays of the base game it was starting to feel a bit samey. Pros: The new player boards add a bit of spice to everyone strategy. They guide you to a specific one but don't hinder you from doing anything. The 6 leaders almost all feel unique. I would say the Baroness(good at items) and the Professor(good at artifacts) feel somewhat the same, but are still different strategies. The new items, artifacts and starting player decks are really cool! There's a symbol on the new stuff so if you want to play just the base game(you probably won't after getting this) you can. Neutral: The new research tracks are really tough if you don't play as a leader. And the bird temple research track is really easy as one of the leaders. Snake temple is a bit easier too, but not as easy as the bird one. The Mystic and explorer shouldn't be played by a new player, there's nothing wrong with them, they are just the most complicated to play as when you're learning the game. We had one new person playing and figured he would be fine learning with a leader, and I think the Captain or Baroness/Professor are the easiest to understand to a new person. Cons: I think I won't go back to the base game ever again after playing with the leaders. That's my only con. Summary: I love this game already and I love when expansions add more to the game without adding too many new complications and this adds a bit of both but in a good way. It adds new items, artifacts, idols, a new research track, new assistants, new sites, and more guardians that help changes things up for the better. You will be able to add all the new stuff into the base game box making it just seem like there's more game. Score: 10/10

A simple expansion that adds so much
This expansion is super easy to learn and add on to the base game, but provides a lot of fun. The asymmetry in player abilities both adds replay value and increases the viable paths to victory within-game. My friends and I find the game even more enjoyable now than we did before.

I agree with everyone that this is a must-have
Without this expansion, the base game can get stale. This expansion increases replayability and strategy tremendously.

Adds something
Not really a necessary expansion but adds enough to be worth the time and money

This expansion adds A LOT to the base game!
The base game Lost Ruins of Arnak combines different game systems, such as Resource and Hand Management with Worker Placement and Deck Building, all of them for a very pleasant game experience. This expansion makes it even better by adding new game mechanisms, as Different Player Powers, into the mix. Expedition Leaders adds a lot of replayability to the base game, since it adds 6 characters with completely new features, plus different temples for players to explore, and many new artifacts, objects, assistants, sites and guardians. Totally recommended!

Great expansion. Tons of heavier content.
The expansion really put some meat on the bones of this game. While the original is a classic almost instantly, this expansion adds a tons of individual player actions and a much heavier play through. If you were looking for a little more crunch this is highly recommend. Very well put together expansion. Multiple tracks and variants available on the side of the board to really expand on options. New iconography and more. 5*

Indispensable Addition to Ruins of Arnak
The original Ruins of Arnak is a good game, but I don't think I'll ever play without the expansion again now that I've tried it. Instead of just "more of the same", or some extra complications that you get in a lot of expansions, Expedition Leaders offers good reasons for different players to pursue different strategies. 100% worth picking up.
