Aspects 402 Quick-Clean Thistle Tube Feeder, Medium - Antique Brass

I purchased a different feeder first for thistle seed. Was happy with it until I had to clean it. Took tools and effort to get the bottom off and the perches wouldn't move. I ordered this as a replacement. It's twice the cost of the old one but so much better. It's a heavier feeder, the perches have covers. The best part, the bottom comes off easily. This is a far better product than what I purchased for half the cost. People commented about the holes but the birds are not having any issues getting the thistle seed. If you're feeding a mixed seed, this isn't the right feeder. I just use red pepper suet and thistle seed these days and avoid the problems with squirrels and rodents.

I have used Aspects feeders for over 26 years. The hold up in the weather and the new quick clean design is awesome.When they say lifetime warranty, they mean it, I have had small parts replaced, like the plastic foot holds with absolutely no problem.These feeders never rust out on you either. I have four different kinds. Two tube feeders for regular bird seed and sunflower seeds, one for niger seed and another for peanuts

This is the first one I bought. It is by far the best Nyjer bird feeder I've found, and I've purchased many. It's solid, the top is snug and squirrel proof, but the best part is how it easily comes apart to clean. Worth every penny.

This bird feeder is wonderfully designed to solve the biggest problem I face with bird feeders: how to keep them clean for our winged friends! I love the quick-release base AND the "mountain peak" design at the base of the feeder: best I've encountered in years of bird feeders. I also had great success redirecting songbirds from my old (very hard to clean) wired nyger feeder. I simply hung this new feeder alongside the old one (after one last desperate cleaning!) and the birds learned to use the new feeder. Alas: there is still one design flaw here: for "deep cleaning" (we all know that bird feeders need this....nyger seed manages to get into anything it can....) you are supposed to be able to remove the base but it's incredibly hard to do. You risk breaking the plastic while forcing the tabs with a screwdriver (or something similar). Still: if you aren't worried about the seeds that get stuck down in the very base of this feeder (below the feeding section)....it's really well-designed with a quick-release of the part that matters most and the plastic sides (with only small feeding slots for songbirds) help to ensure the seed inside the feeder won't be spoiled and non-avian critters cant get to the seed (chipunks loved my old wired nyger feeder.....) I am hopeful that I won't need to risk breaking the plastic tabs at the base to ever need to clean out the "below where the birds feed" section of the feeder.
