I don't know if I have a break in the line of my under ground fencing or if the collar is broken. Since another collar would cost a lot I was searching on Amazon and saw this collar, it had great reviews and an affordable price. Rufus knows his boundries from the electric fence but was wandering. We were outside doing leaves today and I saw him wander towards the property line, I hit the tone once and he came right over to me. That was on the lowest number. Later he was nearing the property line again, hit the tone again and he came right over, the rest of the day he stayed by me.Most of the time all I have to do is show him the receiver and he comes to me. I am sure since he was trained with the electric fence that he made and easy transition from the electric fence to the collar. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love the remote and options! *by D***8 on Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2016* This collar is a Godsend. I dislike "shock collars" as a rule. But my Catahoula doesn't respond to the same patient training methods which worked with my Dobe. (Got them both as rescues at about a year of age. Dobe 7 years ago; Catahoula this summer).When I found myself chasing him with a flyswatter, I knew I needed to find something else. That's where this collar comes in!!It's remote controlled, which means I can correct any behavior, not just the incessant barking!! And I LOVE that it has a vibration feature as a warning and/or reminder. After I had to use the shock feature once, the vibration is enough! It's marvelous! And another great thing is I don't have to be within sight to correct him (for instance - jumping on the door and barking outside-the remote accesses the collar even from a room away - which means he doesn't see me and doesn't necessarily need to see me to behave!)I do have some issues with it working consistently - sometimes the button works, sometimes it doesn't - even if he's in the same room as me. But 8/10 it works like a charm!I would recommend this product and will likely use it on my next hard headed stubborn pet! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Looking for a Control Collar? If you're looking for a collar for the out of control puppy, the adolescent puppy with selective hearing, or the adult dog to keep in check, this collar is for you! The control setting is several clicks down from the max, and more often than not, she only needs an audio warning to remind her who the pack-head is. Customer service is awesome, and no worries about getting someone out of the U.S. to help you deal with any problems. Plus, the customer service is BETTER than timely in response time. Yes, you need to use the remote to quiet barking, but "Shhhh!" is all I've ever had to use, along with, It's alright!. Have never used the collar for avoiding barking. There is usually a reason for barking.
