500ml Original Ocean Bottle

I bought this for a backpacking trip, and it was a champ. I could pour in hot water, instant coffee, any extras I wanted, then give it a good shake and it came out perfect every time. Since the trip I've started using it as my every-day coffee cup. It fits under my pod coffee maker and into every cup holder and pocket I've ever tried to put it in and has never leaked. The stainless steel inside means you can rinse coffee out and replace it with water, and while you might still smell coffee, you won't taste it. I expected to be annoyed that the cap is not attached to the bottle but it the threading is such that it only takes a half turn to open or close, so it's really not an issue.

Great company and a very practical design. Perfect size for holding and slipping into a backpack or golf bag. My husband got one as a company promo and my son wanted to use it all the time so I bought him one.

I do like this thermos and I am glad I got it. It is sharp looking. It is quite light. It fits just enough coffee for the morning and keeps cold water cold for quite a while. It is on the smaller side, which means it fits easily in my work bag. That said, a couple recommendations.... I have had a few leaks - mostly user error. I hadn't screwed the middle on tight enough once or twice. My fault, but maybe there could be a way to be sure something is screwed on completely, like lines to line up or a snap sound? The other leak was the top - after washing, I put the handle/ring on the neck upside down which meant the top wasn't screwed down completely. Took a minute to figure out the issue. I found it keeps hot things hot for maybe 3-4 hours. While other products might keep things hot longer, this one opens at the middle and can go through the dishwasher. Yay! Major selling point for me! So easy to clean by hand, too, because it comes apart. I like the socially responsible part and I have no problem paying a little more to protect our seas. All in all, I am glad I got it and I will use it for years to come. ****I am adding an update. No matter how much I tighten the middle piece, it leaks. I am so sad because I like the bottle. I hope to get a replacement to see if it is just this bottle, or a design flaw. *** I received a replacement via Amazon. I can see that the rubber gasket in the middle piece came out and I found it in the dishwasher - hence the leaks. I noticed it says it CAN go through the dishwasher but it is not recommended. I do still like the thermos a lot. It is much easier to wash by hand because it comes apart at the widest part of the bottle. I use it for coffee with milk, so I wanted to be sure I can see all the way inside and be sure everything is clean. I will likely not use the dishwasher (I had only run it through 2 or 3 times!) because it dislodged the gasket.

I love this water bottle. It looks great, feels high quality, keeps water cold for hours and hours, is dishwasher safe (at least the body), I really like how it comes apart, no leakage, and I really appreciate what it stands for. Highly recommend spending the extra $10-$20 bucks over other “cheaper” brands and springing for this one.

This is the most I've ever paid for a water bottle but it's worth it. I wanted something that would be easy to fill with ice and water and could fit easily in my work bag or back pack and I've been REALLY happy with it. Added bonus, this can be washed on the top rack of your dishwasher....I might be addicted now.

Really cool water bottle that is more than nicely made and good function, it has meaning and purpose. Made from non composite materials, recycled stainless steel and upcycled ocean bound plastic, this piece gives you the feel good as you subtract your carbon footprint. But that’s not the only reason why I love it… Here’s why.. Really cool forest green color, gender neutral. Outer is soft and comfortable grip. Twist off cap with a nice size spout for drinking out of. The lid is anchored to the botton creating a loop making it easy to carry. The entire upper also twists off giving you an option of just drinking it as a cup. This creates more functionality allowing you to use this for soup and multiple hot beverages too. It’s the all in one bottle. Double wall vacuum insulation keeps your cold beverages cold and hot beverages hot for hours. Comes in nice packaging sharing what the brand and item is about. Makes an excellent gift. I’d say this is pretty expensive for a water bottle, but because of the great design and excellent purpose it is worth it. I hope this review was helpful. I really wanted to get this Ocean Bottle, I’m a bit of a water bottle hoarder. It ended up being a little smaller than I had expected though. I loved the green. It’s a stunning green. It’s easy to clean, it’s nice to know you can recycle it, I like anything that doesn’t take up a carbon footprint. This will work well for my daughter as it’s small, and could fit in a lunch box, the price is high at asking 50 bucks as nothing really seems to stand out with this bottle.

This is my first experience with the Ocean Bottle brand and I'm really happy with this water bottle. It's dishwasher safe, easy to fill, easy to clean, has hot/cold insulation and has a carry loop. It's really functional and keeps my water icy cold. I use this on hikes and it's a great size and easy to carry. My favorite feature is the double opening, not something I've seen on any other water bottle. I have the "Forest Green" color and it's really beautiful. I'm really happy with this water bottle from Ocean Bottle and hope they make a larger version soon!

It's an expensive bottle. The slim 500ml size fits in most cup holders and is easy to fit into backpack bottle holders. It's dishwasher-safe which is pretty unique and ultimately the reason I bought it. It's also perfectly spill-proof. However, I had a couple of problems with it. One, there is a plastic smell/flavour which makes water taste unpleasant. Even after several washes in both the dishwasher and by hand, it's still there. Two, the rubber seals inside the cap tend to come out and are finicky to replace.

Great bottle, good size for a medium coffee shop coffee, nice to drink from and feels solid and it will last. Only knocking off one star due to price.
