Wonderful world of luxurious confections and pastries from innovative Scottish pastry chef
The latest edition of William Curley's Nostalgic Delights is an excellent cookbook for a aspiring pastry chef, kitchen professional or those foodies who are interested getting into making chocolate confections, pastries and few individual desserts. Most recipes are new, and other few you may find on 2 of his previous books like Couture Chocolate: A Masterclass in Chocolate and Patisserie with William and Suzue Curley. They are many British brand names candies that has been elevated to becoming luxury chocolates because he use high quality ingredients like chocolates, biscuits and such. I recommend this book highly. Although I made the Matcha and Yuzu teacakes and the blackberry teacakes - these are great confections. And family loved it. Even friends loved it too because it was amazing in textures, and flavors. Mind you... these are all natural meaning there are no preservatives or additives. That's William Curley's ethos or I should philosophy. His techniques are so flawless, and refined. The pictures are gorgeous, and the recipes are easy to understand for an expert foodie or chef. Aspiring pastry chefs can pickup his techniques too.I bought the Kindle version which supplied little pictures, but if you were to buy the paperback or hardback version they will contain a lot of detailed pictures.

Great recipes!
William Curley is a master pastry chef, no doubt about that. In this book he provides a varied and interesting selection of great pastries, ranging from the challenging (but doable) to the simple. This is a color photo on every page to accompany the recipe, which I love, so I know how the finished product is meant to look. I was particularly pleased with his macaron selection, I want to try them all! A lovely book.

A little about this & a lot about everything Else! This book is fantastic!
I wasn’t sure if I should have gotten this book but when I got it delivered, I was very Pleased that I did buy it. The recipes in this book work even for me, a novice in the Chocolate World. I could not be happier with my purchase if the writer himself gave me personal classes in Chocolateering! I don’t know if that is even a real word but this is how I am explaining it! Cheers
