Its work’s great. The instructions were a bit confusing so I called Fluval and they clarified what I didn’t understand. I wish it had two more test tubes. But works great.

I'm not saying it doesn't work. I do not use it because it is not easy. Fluval is a great brand , it's just the nature of this type of test.

I purchased this kit because it was a dollar or so cheaper than the API master test kit. Boy do I regret that! Accuracy: This kit is horribly inaccurate. I had just finished cycling my aquarium and had finally added a small number of fish (4) and wanted to monitor for any spikes. I kept getting a read of 50+ppm of nitrate. One day I even got over 100 ppm of nitrate even with daily small water changes! My ammonia was hard to match to the test kit colors and the nitrite wasn't even a color on the chart. Needless to say after going to my LFS and getting a spin test my numbers were 0 across the board. Had the kit been just slightly off I would have simply done the math for the right result and not bothered to purchase a new testing kit. Workflow: My next big annoyance with this kit was the number of testing vials and the time it took to get a testing result. Normally, you test for ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate on a regular basis. Theoretically, you should have a corresponding number of testing vials in which to conduct these tests. Fluval decided to make life difficult and only give you two. (My cat broke one on accident so that left me with only one.) Yes, its a minor annoyance but at this point I feel this product was not thought through properly before hitting shelves. Secondly, one of the tests took 20 minutes to get a result. Normally, I wouldn't care too much but the fact that I had to wait that long AND the result was inaccurate was just annoying beyond all measure. Save your money and don't purchase this kit. I got the Fritz Master Test kit and compared it to the results of my LFS' spin test - there's only a .25 ppm difference with the Fritz test on occasion.

Works well. Works according to directions and told me the level of the phosphates in my tank

This test kit is accurate and easy to use.

The kit that arrived was messed up, box was damaged and I received 2 #2 ammonia reagents instead of 1 and 2. Edit: After notifying fluval they did send the missing item for free. Changed from 1 star to 4

Rather use this kit before any other brand!!! Yes it takes 20 minutes for ammonia but it's also based off Ph. The science supports it. As your ph and ammonia can play a role together! Point is the science was put into this kit!!
