Heated Vibrating Mitts, Blue

Great for chemo patients and those with neuropathy, too!
We LOVE these mitts! My Dad is undergoing chemo and has had severe neuropathy in his hands. I bought the gloves for the heated functionality to keep him warm. But we never dreamed that the vibrating feature would help increase his circulation and really decrease the side-effects of the neuropathy! I was inspired to buy them after getting a manicure with heated gloves- I know that's more closely aligned with the true purpose of the gloves. But I would really recommend them to anyone with ill or older family members with nerve issues in their hands! They're miracle workers!

Bought these mittens for my wife's poor arthritic hands. I would have paid double for them because the look on her face was priceless. They're not a cure all but she enjoys the relief while she's wearing them.

Very comforting and good for arthritis
Just can't understand how these mittens can be a problem. I've used them at highest temp and massage for 30-40 minutes with no problem. NOT at all too hot. Maybe others got off-spec products or were just hyper-sensitive. They came with a bundle of plastic bags to place on hands before inserting in mittens. See no point to them. But nice thought. These help me start my day by helping my fingers move easier.

There is a lot of problems with this item, which makes it unacceptable.
Beware of this item. I’m going to say this, I hardly right reviews but I felt I had to so I can inform others about what they are getting when they buy this item. For starters, And for (1) it does heats up, but it heats up far to well whereas it burns your hands. NO, this is not a acceptable product for anyone. It’s far to hot for the hands, they should do some major adjustments with this product. (2). Whomever made the giant block power plug that’s called: A (Class 2 transformer) its nuts. When vibration is running it sounds like a generator is on. I kid you not. Really! This is way to much. It’s ridiculous and stupid, why did the engineer come up with a big giant plug for this item? Plus it’s ways down everything it’s so heavy. We aren’t living in the past, like it was the 70’s. This is 2020 a modern technology era. There was no instructions or bags with my item as well. I’m sending it back. I’m very disappointed with this item. Don’t say I didn’t warn you if you read my comment and what I’m saying here you wouldn’t like it. Go back and start over with this hand warmer device and do it right. In my opinion, it’s a flawed and dangerous item...

I concur, great for neuropathy!
I have chemo induced peripheral neuropathy and rheumatoid arthritis (full remission from Hodgkins Lymphoma, knock on wood). I noticed that when washing my hands or doing dishes that the warm water seemed to relieve the nearly constant soreness and improve flexibility, so I went on a search for a therapy solution that involved warm water, similar to the foot baths that are so available. I discovered that the best option was to just put my hands in a foot bath, but during my search I found several types of hand warmers. There were basically 3 kinds available, microwavable (using flax seed and clay beads as a heat medium), hunting/sport gloves (using batteries) or plug-in electric used as a beauty treatment for softer skin. I settled on these electric mitts as being the most practical (constant heat source, no batteries, and more time efficient than filling/emptying and cleaning a water bath) plus they include vibration, which I hadn't considered. The mitts arrived quickly, well and neatly packaged. They included the mitts which are basically flat fingerless vinyl bags (similar to a standard heating pad) attached to about a 6ft cord with a 3 position controller for heat and vibration (separately controlled). There are soft flannel-sheet type slip on covers for the vinyl mitts, and a supply of about 100 plastic bags to be used for wet therapy. First impression was that the power block at the end of the cord was large (about a 4in cube weighing around 2 lbs!) and the mitt covers seemed to slide off easily despite a snap at one edge of the opening. I had read several reviews that mentioned the very hot temperature being uncomfortable, so I intended from the beginning to use knit cotton gloves (just lightweight winter style) to protect my hands. There is a hard plastic dome inside the mitts that you place your palm upon for the vibration effect, so the mitts are right/left specific. I found it is best to adjust the heat and vibration before putting the mitts on as it is nearly impossible to do once you are wearing them. I opted to go full out the first time, level 3 for both, and inserted my gloved hands. The heat builds very gradually, and the vibration is comfortable. The instructions state not to use for more than 15 minutes, and as the heat builds to maximum I can see how people were experiencing burning sensations (especially when using the wet method, which I will address further on). I sat back and would occasionally flex and stretch my hands within the mitts, the warmth definitely providing pain relief and increasing flexibility. At about 10-12 minutes the heat began to become fairly intense, so I had my wife adjust the controls to medium for heat and vibration and they quickly adjusted for both (I have since developed a routine where I start out on high and am then able to adjust to medium on my own by either bumping the controls with the mitt, or simply removing my hand, adjusting the controls, and replacing it). The effect is very comforting. I have tried the wet method (the bags included seem potentially messy and fiddly, so I used some food prep plastic disposable gloves I have, put the lotion on my hands (or it gets the hose ! sorry, couldn't resist), put on the plastic gloves, then put on the knit gloves over them). An interesting sensation, possibly conducive to soft hands, but a little messy, tedious, and not my purpose. Overall I would recommend these for comforting short term relief of pain and stiffness. I use my hands constantly, often strenuously, so I am not sure if I am experiencing any long term relief, but in the evening relaxing after dinner and watching television they do the trick.

More for beauty and not medical for arthritis
Be careful the heat isn't distributed properly. There can be unknown hot spots around the edges especially. So show caution before you just stick your hand in it. Also it's a tight squeeze. I have small hands. At some point when it was really hot my hand was difficult to pull out. Also it does not have lining in the inside. So if you are looking fir something soft and comfy, this isn't it. It serves it's purpose and with a littke creativity I used the outside covers as inside covers. After I got it the right temp it was amazing. The vibration makes your hands relaxed. It's a great feeling. This in my opinion is still more beauty related then medical. I use it for arthritis. But minus the padding and comforts make it more for beauty.

STOPS my Neuropathy in minutes
Im taking chemo and when someone said heat takes away the neuropathy I searched and searched until I found electric heating for my hands and not just jell pads. These instantly takes away the neuropathy. Trust me it works instantly. I’ve told my doctor and the nurses who administer my chemo about these so they can tell other cancer patients. AWESOME.
