Jerome Russell Punky Colour, Poppy Red 3.5 oz (Pack of 2)

I haven't dyed my hair since high school, but I needed a change, so I bleached the ends and used a dye that I bought from Sally's (Beyond the Zone). Big mistake! Even though I left it on my hair for two hours, the color barely took. I just looked like I had been swimming in a chlorinated pool. I dug through some boxes and found the remnants of a jar of Punky Colour Purple from what had to have been 1996. I had to do something, so I went ahead and put it on for an hour. It was PERFECT! This color took beautifully - apparently it has a shelf life of over 15 years - and looked great. I was so pleased that I bought five containers of different purples and pinks to try. I highly recommend this brand, it smells great and lasts for a couple of weeks, even if you wash daily. In my opinion, the price and the product are much better than any of the other brightly colored brands (I'm looking at you, Manic Panic!)

It’s a lovely color. Extremely vibrant and smells like candy :) I don’t wash my hair that often so the color lasts a long time on me but I’m not sure how fast it would fade on other people.

This has always been my favorite color and bright dye. Ordered rose red but have used most their colors. VERY Vibrant. Lasts long if you wash your hair less often and in cooler water (for any colored dye) In fact I have tried to strip this dye out before and it is nearly impossible. It is kind of a medium thick gel? Easy to spread, not too thick or drippy. Never tried it on dark hair, only bleached. Fades to hot pink. Can leave in hair for hours if you wanted to or do by accident, will not damage hair, no deveoper needed. BE AWARE IT STAINS EVERYTHING (but not the only brand I've used that does) Does not come w gloves. Clean shower/tub w bleach solution. Rinse the second dye touches shower walls, which it will into the 1st few washes..I put up w it cuz its such a good color.

Great color and long lasting. My daughter wanted three colors - aquamarine, deep purple, and rose. She picked rose for the top layer. It is so shiny in the light and is so beautiful. Her hair was previously green, very washed out and re-bleached. The rose totally covered that awful color and you can't even tell where it was. Easy product to use, nice and thick. Smells really nice which is a big deal for me as I am asthmatic. I dyed her hair nearly 3 months ago and there is little to no fading.

Anything from Jerome Russell will stain EVERYTHING. This stuff may come in a small container but it sure as hell is mighty. A little of this product will go a long way and it will come out very vivid. Remember folks, if you have dark hair like me and you want to dye your hair an unnatural and/or light color, you must get it bleached first (I recommend that you do so professionally unless you know what you're doing). I've read some reviews that complain that the color won't show up. If you have dark hair, of course it won't show up - this isn't magic, it's dye. Make sure to wear clothes you don't mind getting stained or something else to cover your body will applying. I usually find a trash bag, a plastic bag, or any bag for that matter to cover myself with. This stuff will stain your skin but it'll come off in a few days. About 10-15 minutes after application, I'll wash it out and boom, vibrant as heck hair color. It is awesome. And over time it'll fade into a lighter color, then silver and then back to blonde (or whatever your hair color is when stripped). Since this is semi-permanent dye, it won't last all too long. My color will last about 1-1.5 months but I also am an individual who washes their hair often. If you want to maintain the color longing, use dry shampoo and cold/lukewarm water when showering. Regardless, this is a fantastic product and I'm on my second tub. Once this runs out, I'll probably buy something more blue versus purple. P.S. the dye smells like grape candy. I have no idea why. But it's not unpleasant.

my daughter likes putting different colors in her hair, and the punky colors last a few months. they're perfectly fine on natural hair, but we've gotten amazing color by bleaching her hair first. put it in a tight ponytail, then just bleach everything outside the elastic band. that way the bleach doesn't get directly on her scalp or skin. bleaching immediately leads to dry hair and split ends, so we then treat it with coconut oil, which is a miracle worker repairing the hair. finally, put the color in (next day) and leave for 30 minutes or so, then rinse out. it's a beautiful, vivid, vibrant color where it was bleached, and again it lasts for months. the rose red is her favorite, which comes out almost with a purple tinge to it. have bought multiple times, will continue to buy again. we love this color.

longest lasting dye i’ve used by far

The amount of compliments I get with this hair color is absolutely insane. The color lasts me about a month and a half and because my hair is short enough, I can get about two uses out of one jar if I dilute it with conditioner. I love that this stuff is vegan and non-damaging and I don’t even put it over blonde hair and it still works. I put it over light brown hair so it’s more of a deep pink burgundy rather that a vibrant pink rose color so it’s much more wearable. The only con is that it will stain the ever living crap out of your counters (which can easily be cleaned up with some rubbing alcohol) and your bathtub (which will eventually wash away with time once you stop using it or you make sure to clean your tub after every shower which ain’t nobody got time for). If they ever stop selling this stuff, I’m screwed bc Im hooked.

amazing hair colour! is a bit different from the model's hair colour, might be because of the fact that she mixed it with conditioner. but it's pretty vibrant and a hot pink colour. stains a lot, which should be expected from a semi permanent dye.
