The book is ok & informative. But the info is layer out more as a chart than a book. It’s ok for quick reference.

The photos in this volume are stunning akin fact they are so far from what a beginner can expect to achieve that they can be intimidating. The text, however, gives clear and comprehensive information an enthusiast of any level can use.

Great read and resource guide for a novice.

I found this book very helpful in teaching myself about the many types of bonsai because I am relatively new to bonsai. I read it cover to cover and found the information to be quite helpful and presented in a manner that would enable a novice like myself to comprehend more about picking the greatest bonsai tree to grow.
