SATA IDE to USB Adapter for 2.5" 3.5" HDD SSD, 5Gbps Hard Drive Reader

How can you beat this deal??? It does everything promised and at a good price. I have been able to utilize old hard drives and retrieve data that had been gone for years. It is versatile, easy to use, fast enough for my purposes, compatible with every PC that I have use it with, and it is small and unobtrusive . I highly recommend this to anyone looking to preserve data on their own drives without having to rely on the cloud. 5 stars!

Worked as described. I was able to archive some old IDE drives.

Ac adapter doesn't work,works USB power switch is opposite though.buying a ac adapter later=bought adapter, still turn button off blue light comes on Vis versa must be polarity problem.pc or cellphone won't recognize the drive ,PC locks up and reboots itself phone just constantly loading ( had to take cover off to see blue light oñ circuit board lol ) I'll spend a little more next time

I had a bunch of digital photos in several outdated PC's that I had given up hope of ever getting. I ordered this adapter as a last attempt to get them. I was surprized to have the unit arrive in nothing more than a clear plastic bag. Luckily none of the adapters or power supply had escaped. Using the illustrations on the order page it was a simple set up. The unit plugged into several different type of hard drives and was recognized by my PC. (I am running windows 10), One of the drives would not read but I suspect the hard drive itself was inoperable. Overall very pleased.

It works. I haven’t tried the transfer rate yet, but so far for the $$$ it seems legit.

This is easy to use and works great! Jlug the drive into the appropriate connector and attach the included Molex power cord if you're working with an IDE. No power wire is required for a SATA drive. Plug in the power supply into the wall and turn the power switch on. Then plug the included USB cable into your computer and the drive, if it's not dead it will show up ad an external drive, just like a thumb drive. Note that the drive will not actually turn on until the USB cable is connected to a computer. Once connected the folders on the old drive open quickly. Before you disconnect it be sure to go through the eject process, just like you would with a thumb drive. If you have any old hard drives kicking around this is the perfect inexpensive tool to consolidate all those old files onto another drive.

The good First off as some one said you get no light when you turn it on you do if you have a drive connected. I had 7 smaller 2.5 drives SATA DRIVES worked no problems the IDE drives that took a a few times to come up could be the drive has been sitting. THE BAD 5 of the 3.5 drives I have could not be read they seem to power up but that’s it had 2 SATA 3.5 and 3 IDE 3.5 all were a fail. And yes I know the drives are good. Out come sending it back it’s nothing mor then a glorified external adapter I had been using one that a pulled out an external drive. And it works fine. I May try another one from another company. I gave it one star because it simply did not work on any 3.5 drives. So yes it half worked but I really did not need it for 2.5 inch SATA DEIVES I needed it for 3.5 IDE and SATA and that don’t work.

The product is very costly. And not user friendly . Also you are not able to return the product. Worthless

I'm so glad I got this handy little tool. I have 4 hard drives and it was compatible with all of them.

I bought this to try to get the lost files off of my old Seagate GoFlex Home hard drive. It looked like it had the correct connector but it would not connect. It might connect if I torn the drive casing apart but I’m not prepared to do that!

Not Working. Not even connected with on hdd.

Don’t buy ,, junk that will end up in the scrap drawer of your house
