Regulation Silicone Tournament Chess Board - 2.25" Squares by US Chess Federation

This is going to be a nice board to use with the plastic replica of the 1970 Dubrovnic set I bought off Amazon from a different seller.The reason I got the silicone board is so I can store it in the plastic ammo box I got for the pieces without creasing it so I don't have to carry it separately.I have to admit that it's strange to handle after using vinyl boards since I was in high school back in the 1980s. You can't really roll it up, throw a rubber band around it and carry it separately as you can with a vinyl board because it is too floppy. On the other hand, when stuffed in a bag with your pieces it acts as extra cushioning while not creasing.So, if want to carry your board rolled up separately, go with vinyl. If you want to be able to stuff your board into a carrying bag or case with the pieces without creasing it, a silicone board is the right choice.

These US Chess Silicone boards are the BEST. Unlike some less expensive boards, these lie flat. No bumps. No ridges. No wrinkles. And the printing is sharp.I have two of these boards now. I bought my first one over two years ago and it still looks as good as new.

Nicer look and feel than vinyl. The surface, however, has more friction than vinyl, causing dust, stray hairs, whatever, stick to it while it is spread out. It’s easily cleaned with a damp cloth, but you can’t simply brush away a piece of lint that happens to land on it while you are playing.

Perfect board for heavy weighted tournament chess pieces. It lies flat. Feels good. Doesn't slip.It is portable. About as good as it gets. If one were to try to spend much, much more money on achess board, I have no idea what one would get that would be better.

I’ve bought two of the royal purple silicone chess boards from them. The first was warped and didn’t lay flat so I sent it back and got a refund and then bought a new one. The replacement one I got was also warped in the corner. I either just have that bad of luck where I got back to back warped boards or their quality control is that bad. Other then that the color is vibrant and the board feels quality. But I personally can’t deal with the warped corners not laying flat.

I love this board, I am very happy I was able to find a brown board. Quality is very good, no issues here.
