Can you freeze these?

we use them to freeze home made ice cream with no problems.

Do these need washing before use?

We did not wash before using and they seemed fine. I would not be afraid to use them straight out of the box.

Can someone please tell me if these have a recycle # on the bottom and lid and what that number is? Thank you.

The recycle number is 5 and the recycle number for the bottom is 4.

Wonderful to Have on Hand

The quality of these containers is excellent. The lids give a tight seal. I have these in multiple sizes and love them for holidays when I send leftovers home with the kids. I also use them for my sourdough starter. I use them over and over again. I always keep multiple sizes on hand.
