If you look on your mother board specifically at the headers. Each one will have some text above around or imediatly near it indicating what output that header is. If you spot one that states 5V ARGB then this will work. Do not attach this to a 12v it will imediatly burn it out and potentially damage your other components. You can connect it to a fan controller as long as it has ARGB connectors on it as well as the 4pin/3pin pwm fan connectors. Easy enough to install/setup etc. The argb in my case is connected to a hub which is controlled by Asus Aura Sync and works as should. There are 2 small supports that attach to the main arm, they come in difference sizes and both can be adjusted up and down as well as being able to be moved along the arm making the bracket quite adjustable.
