I've noticed that my furby's motors emit a slight "tinking" and small grinding noise when it moves. Is this anything to be concerned about?

I gave it as a gift and only watched it once in a noisy environment. In my experience with anything that moves I have almost always heard operating sounds so i wouldn't be to concerned.

My son received the furby connect for xmas. we were able to interact with it last night and use the app. today we cannot get it to 'wake up'!

Take off the battery cover. There is a very small reset button that u can press and hold down with a toothpick! Ours did this as well and resetting it fixed it! We had to reconnect after.

Are batteries required for the Furby Connect?

I finally received this Furby. I had to push them to send it at the proper time. It came late in the day and my Granddaughter had left to go back to Texas so I had to ship it to her, (Cost around $25). My Granddaughter received the Furby anf my son could not power up the Furby. (My son is no idiot-he works on F-16 Fighter planes. I hopefully am going to get the toy back from my son(who threw the packaging away, assuming it would work) I plan on sending it back to Amazon. I have never had problems ordering anything off of Amazon=but this Furby Connect was a huge disappointment to my Granddaughter. NOT HAPPY!
