GLOTRENDS PU11 U.2 to PCIe 4.0 X4 Adapter for 2.5 Inch U.2 SSD, PCIe 4.0 X4 Full Speed

This worked out of the box to get my Micron 7300 PRO connected to a Aorus Z70 motherboard via PCIe Gen3x4 (in an x16 slot).To the makers of this product- I would love to see a similarly priced product that could adapt a U.2 NVMe to a M.2 slot, even if it required external SATA power.

It works not much more to say it does exactly what I wanted. Not sure if the other reviewer got a bad drive or didn't know what they were doing, but it works fine with PCI-E Gen 4 as you can see above. My setup is a 3990x with an Asus Zenith II Extreme Alpha and a P5800x Optane drive. Wonderful combination and no other drive will give you those high random 4k reads at 1 queue depth.

Not compatible with HP MM1000JEFRB SAS drive or Samsung SAS Drive or EG600FBVFP SAS drive.Was not able to get any SAS disks working with this.The Samsung disk caused the machine to power on and have no video.The other disks didn't have this effect, the times I did get to windows with this installed device manager shows no disk or even a card connected to the PCIe bus.Server detects these SAS disks with out issue, so I am not sure what the disconnect is but in the end I am returning this because it fails to read SAS disks.

Used on an ASUS PROART X570-CREATOR WIFI AM4 AMD X570 Mobo with R5800, and card is in the chipset controlled PCIe slot. (Reads are slightly faster in one of the CPU controlled PCIe slots, but then my graphic card drops down to only 8 lanes, so, it's better off in the slower, chipset slot.)

This card has worked well for every NVME U.2 drive I've used it with. The cost is lower than all the competitive products I've seen. I've used it with Micron drives, Intel, KIOXIA, and Netlist.

I have a few Dell brand PM1733 v2 drives. Paired with this adapter, the drives are recognized on a X570 system (PCIe 4.0) but not on a Z490 system (PCIe 3.0). If I pair the drives with PCIe 3.0 to U.2 adapter cards they can be recognized on the Z490 system.

Works perfectly paired with a Micron 9300 Pro U.2 SSD.

Works great with a P5800X in PCIe 4.0 x4. No issues. The board has an orange activity LED, which I could do without. The black PCB is a great bonus.

I set it up with a Solidigm P5430 3.84To (QLC pcie4.0 ssd). I get exactly the advertised performances, 4925MB/s SR and 940 MB/s SW. This card can definitely run faster than gen3 speed, maybe there is some bottleneck at full gen4 speed, but i can't test that. would recommend.
