I have been taking this Vitamin E supplement as part of a broader daily routine focused on general wellbeing rather than targeting a single issue. The 400 IU dosage is straightforward and aligns with advised intake levels, and one softgel per day makes it easy to stay consistent. The gelcap is a rugby ball shape of nearly 2 cm left to right across, and 1 cm from top to bottom. I found it difficult to swallow and sometimes it goes down fine, other times it makes me gag or gets stuck at the top of my throat and I have to gulp more water to make it go down. It feels horrible when that happens, like I'm going to choke to death. I've resorted to piercing the gelcap with a knife with a sharp tip, then squeezing the oil contents into my mouth and swallowing. Tastes awful but at least I don't have to choke or gag swallowing the gelcap. The oil is good quality Vit E I can tell, because the tips of my fingers are usually very dry, but some of the oils get onto my finger tips when I squeeze the gelcap, and I wash my finger tips straight away with dishwasher soap, but that few seconds of contact with the Vit E oil left my fingertips soft and smooth. I also tried going off it for just over a week, and my facial skin started feeling bumpier and more rashy, and my breasts became sore all the time. I've been on oral contraceptive pills long term and having sore breasts is a side effect of that, so basically I have first hand experience of this Vitamin E supplement relieving my sore breasts and making my skin feel smoother. So in short, good quality Vit E, but I wish the gelcap was more of a capsule dimension (longer left to right, with a shorter top down height)... then it would be easier to swallow. The rugby ball shape is almost spherical and too large for me, and undoubtedly will be too large for some others too. So just a warning about the size of the gelcaps before you buy. I've had to put up with the inconvenience of having to pierce the gelcaps, and holding my breath while swallowing it so I don't smell the horrible taste of the Vit E oil...
