Using for montessori color box. Will paint them, but haven't yet. They are much smaller than the traditional box but will work well for home purposes and are much cheaper than purchasing an actual color box.

Used these in conjunction with another product I purchased on the same day. They are a little smaller than I expected; however, I'm pretty sure that's because I wasn't paying attention to the size. They are easy to hold and manipulate, and can be finished any way you like.

These were a great price. There were a couple that were misshapen, and I did have to lightly sand some of them, but they were perfect for creating a domino set for my 4 year old son. I would purchase these again to make other sets.

My order arrived safely and intact. A few were used as shims for installing cabinet doors, the remainder split between making a color/image domino set (for small child) and wood-burned A-B-C / Numbers primer. Yes, best if sanded, and not made to hand down through the ages. But for the price, we are all having a crafty good time. Best is this small size fits into a unfinished, light wood Tea box, also bought on Amazon.

These are a bit crappy, to be honest. They're just one step up from a piece of thick cardboard. The "wood" is as light and flimsy as balsa wood, but it splinters and sheds shards of wood fibers all around the edges. These are apparently "stamped" out of a sheet, not cut, and the stamping changes the shape/appearance. You definitely need to sand these all around the edges, as it is very rough, but unfortunately they continue to splinter even after being sanded smooth. The "grain" of the "wood" (I'm using that term loosely) unfortunately raises when you paint these, so the wood becomes coarse/rough/splintery all over again. I also tried drilling small holes in a few, and they splintered and cracked. The color of the material is a very light cream, and bears no wood grain.

These wood pieces are terrific! I wanted to glue nautical flag alphabet letters/colors to each one, sort of like flash cards to learn each number and letter. The pieces are the right size, smooth finish, right weight/heft, and quality. I love 'em, and will order more soon!

It has been recommended, before I jump in, that I create a pattern for each of the nibs on a single piece of wood. I decided to use these items to make individual patterns of the nibs and record the nibs type and temperature used on the back. I can move the wood chips around each other and determine which patterns are the best fit for the current project. They are really good for this and other types of projects. We made test tiles in the ceramic pottery class for our glazing pieces before the application of glaze.

I use it as a base for my minatures . It looks smooth

Great for the price. Used these to make little Christmas tags. If you drill a hole into it though the wood splinters a lot it isn't super sturdy. So, not the best quality out there but does the job for small crafts.

Good product but I thought they would be much bigger

These were great to make into necklaces. Would love to find a square size as well.Lot's of great comments on the product after finished.
