Coats and Clark Craft thread or better still, KO thread. The more consistent the bead the better your finished piece will be. I recommend Delica if you can get them. Toho beads are ok as well. Once you get used to the loom, you can mix sizes and styles of beads. Beading needles help pick up the beads and will guide your beads through the loom.I also recommend, for your first project, starting out with 5-6 beads wide versus 15-20. The loom takes a bit of getting used to so don't get frustrated, just keep it going.
