I got these for my two year old for Christmas not really knowing what to expect, but figured she’d be happy learning how to make/wearing her own bead jewelry regardless of the beads. These are really cool and exactly what I was looking for! The beads changed color within seconds of going into the sun and then glow in the dark if you go into a dark room. They still change color if you don’t put them under direct sunlight but the color isn’t as vibrant as they get with direct sun. I like how you can’t tell what color they’re going to change until they go into the sunlight, so it’s a surprise how your jewelry or whatever you’re making will turn out until you put it in the sun. I wish the colors lasted a little longer after leaving the sun, but that’s probably just how most of these beads work and it’s still really cool to see them change in the sun. Might have to steal some of her beads to make some bracelets and a necklace for me when we go to the beach! First photo is before going into the sun (the beads are all the same clear color; they look different from the shadows), second photo is in the sun right before sunset (they do seem to get a little brighter in peak sun).

Really great product, changes colour fast and glows bright in the dark (however the glow will not last for more than a few minutes). We made hemp bracelets with these beads with a group of younger girls to teach them about sun exposure - when their beads turn colours, they need sunscreen!

These beads are so fun! They change in the sun, stay white inside, and glow in the dark. My kids have been making so many bracelets!!

We made bracelets with these on the first day back at school. I found a poem off of instagram about magic beads and how if they turned colors we’d have a great school year. They didn’t disappoint!! The 1st /2nd graders were astonished.
