These Bits are sharp and like all cobalt drill bits can be brittle so adjust your feed and use light pressure and they will cut like going thru butter and last you. Remember to always use a good cutting oil when drilling any Metal. Would I recommend them Yes.

I bought this to cut stainless and had a difficult time. Great for softer material

Viking tool are by far the best bits I’ve used but getting thrashed in the field/farm these look identical and have preformed well so far. For the price no complaints.

Used 5/16" bit to drill over 16 holes through 3/4" thick 304SS plate. Pulled the 3/8" bit out to drill three holes in a 1/4" thick ASTM A36 plate. The 3/8" bit shattered its tip as soon as it came into contact with the A36 steel plate. Used a MAG drill and lube running slow speed to drill the holes. These M35 Cobalt bits look great and should be fine for any alloy steel. I think I just got a bad bit in the box. Just got the set yesterday and was trying them out.

These bits seem to be fairly durable. I already have tons of bits but wanted to get a full set for when I need to get just the right sized hole. All of these bits seem to be fairly well made and made to specs. For the price, I'm happy with this purchase. That said, the case is just marginally usable. It isn't a Hout case. There is a difference.... trust me. Sometimes I have a bit of trouble flipping the case bit holder up.
